I have a question for you Salted: Say you mix a bunch of powders to make an upgraded powder as seen in the screenshot. Then you mix different powders that you couldn't put in before because of the 4 powder slots limit, therefore creating another upgraded powder. What I am asking here is can you mix two or more upgraded powders?

 

There might be many different choices, but only one CORRECT choice.

That is, of course, ALL THE BLUE POWDER!

 

...And so little slots...

Ok, actual theory time:

It seems that Detlas is in the backround of this teaser, which could explain the low cost of upgrading and the tier 1 blue powders

Now, look at this image Salted posted on his twitter way back in January:


Yes, this one may be different than the current system they're developing for powders, but hear me out:

A possible explanation is that powder upgrades are location-specific, remember that empty powder upgrade station in Nivla Forest and the powder upgrade station shown in the teaser? Well, you'll probably be able to only upgrade powders from tier 1 to tier 2 in these powder upgrade stations

Now, look at the powder upgrade station in Cinfras, that's where you'll probably upgrade tier 4 powders to tier 5, and you can also probably upgrade the lower tier powders in that same powder upgrade station for convenience sake.


And, combining different elemental powders will probably not work, as this would make slots half-pointless.

so 4 powders is 25% each
and 1 powder can be coverted back into 4 of the tier lower of powder
and upgrading costs emeralds, which will most likely increase with the higher tier of the powders
EDIT:i also found something that looks like black powder in his inventory

 

Cool powder upgrading system. Also, the GUI looks really cool with the arrows and stuff

Or each powder gives a certain % and you need to get 100% to actually level up the powder, otherwise it won't work

 

racist, all powders are equal, and even the black ones!

 

Perhaps it's not. I have 2 thoughts:

If some kind of special mixed power (using dark magic or something)

It's a fail result if you combine wrong powders (it mixes into a black color)

 

I'm just glad I know where all the Tier 6 Powder Shrines are :3
