I think you can drop them by throwing them out with a full inventory. I may be wrong.

 

Yes, that's correct. If you have a full inventory and replace the Quest Item with another item, you can drop it.

 

Thats what I did and if i need it I would use /fixquest, removing the extra items every time is a bit tedious though... But worth the 13 inventory slots.

 

"Fire Relic Boots" and "Earth Relic Boots"?
