Build Old Southern House.

This is a build that I based off of some old houses that are near the entrance of the community I live in.

There are no potato farms mind you, but I was just giving it some atmosphere when the player walks up to it.
Please don't mention that there is no terrain, except for a teeny-weenie one block difference; I have no W/E, and no voxel, and the ground took me long enough.
There are random bits of dirt in the house to simulate grime and dust that settled on the floor.

The views you provided of the house itself aren't flattering. May we get a closer view, and even more so with the back of the building?
As for the terrain, it's a little too flat and the randomisation of blocks (although great), are too spread out with too much variation for the distance between the blocks; if that makes sense. It doesn't really compliment the house; it appears to make its own separate show. Although that could just be me judging wrongly on the angled shots provided. I think if you neatened and packed it up a bit more, it'd look rather cute and comforting. :)
Try a custom tree as well, rather than a minecraft vanilla one. I'd say it would improve the atmosphere immensely provided it's done right. Good start! The detailing is nice on the build, it just needs a little more ^-^

 

Even with plugins, I use mostly hand if the area is below 200x200. Plugins are a bit overrated in my opinion, all though if you're a slow builder I can see why you want them. The terrain is a bit flat, and the house is a bit small, but that may just be because I'm currently building a 500x500 plot with massive cliffs rn. Anyway lots of room for improvement, 6.7/10

the house is supposed to be small. I based it off of a real old house, and the ground was flat. Ty anyways :3 and ill make some more hills by hand, i was just lazy XD

 

Things don't normally copy well into minecraft, and if the ground is flat just add some elevation around the edges, it will focus the beholder towards the center. Gl <3

 

Over all your house is about a 5/10 because its not very creative. The style is a copied style and its kinda bland to. Try coming up with your own style, and don't be afraid of using a slab here and there. The roof is the most creative part about it. Though the style does look odd might need be improved it is not just another copy pasted style that someone else came up with which i can appreciate in newer builders. So in short it could be better, but the most important part is don't just copy a style make a style.

 

what do you mean copy pasted style that some1 else came up with XD this is an IRL build, so I just rebuilt it XD and so many cool palettes exist.. and there all so cool... .-. rip.

 

oh you see when i look at that i don't see it being based off of an irl house.

 

ok, I guessed It would be "original" to build something irl, thats not your house or the eiffel tower or something :P But i guess the way i rebuilt it is a very common palette, ill try and find an original style.

 

Why is everyone using WCT and skilled for 5/5 and 4/5?
