You continue sliding down the hole, the heat starting to intensify to potentially dangerous levels. As you continue down, you finally make out the sound. It's the sound of...metal banging on metal?

You draw your rapier just as the light fades. In the middle, there is no longer a man, and a broken knife sits upon the pedestal. The hooded men are in shock.

You continue to trek along the forest. The trek is largely uneventful, until you hear your stomach growling.

You feel the apple glowing away in your pocket. You exit the village and look around for a while for a good animal to hunt. After a while, you hear a rustling in a nearby bush.

"Ah, because it is tradition the the sun must shine upon the well before we exit our temples and monasteries." He replies.

You look around, to no avail. There are a lot of soldiers in formation out in the field, most likely to do training before getting sent off to the front.

As you exit, you notice there is a rolled up scroll at your doorstep. It seems what looks like the workers of the barracks are desperately trying to fix it.

The man just stands there, unaffected by the fire and unfazed. The fire begins to catch onto more trees and plants.

"You wished to go to Hellwood, did you not?" He asks, closing his eyes with a grin.

He notices what you are trying to do and immediately disappears just as the projection is about to hit him. Your lance hits nothing but air.

You swoop down towards them, raking in ten kills. The mages put up the shields again at the rest of the columns. A lucky crossbow bolt gets through your scales. Nothing major though. It just stings a little.

 

I slowly nodded and the flames begin to die down

 

I keep the momentum of swinging my speae, using it to rush forward to keep running and try to buy myself thinking time.
I hold the projection just in front of me to skewer Kyln were he to try and get in front of me.

 

"Well, I shall now fulfill your wish...in a painful way." He moves his hand, and all of a sudden you find you cannot control your body.

"Goodbye, Mister Reno." He says, and all of a sudden you are sucked into a tear through time and space.

You feel an immense amount of pain as you are thrown around inside the rift.

You keep on running, and nothing happens. The projection doesn't hit anything, or anyone.

 

I shut my eyes closed and clenched my teeth. 'WHAT THE HELL IS HAPPENING...?!' I thought

 

The immense pain continues, and you feel your soul getting torn away from you. And then, all of a sudden, you black out.

You awaken in a muddy puddle. Your entire body hurts.

 

"Damn...!" I clenched my teeth and closed my eyes, after a few moments, I move my head a bit to look around

 

All you can see is the dark sky. It's raining. Hard. For some reason, you can't hear that much.

 

I groaned and stood up, then looked around again

 

Just as you get up, your hearing comes back. You hear the sound of shouts...and metal clanging...and- all of a sudden an explosion goes off a few feet from you, knocking you to the ground. Several rocks and shrapnel hit you, though none of them are lethal.

 

Go in for more kills!

 

I quietly take out my bow, and ready an arrow.
I slowly get closer and closer to the bush.

"What have you done?!" I urgently ask.

 

"Pretty sure it does now" I reply.

 

I unroll the scroll and read it.

 

I stop, then swing the projection around me as I gather most of the water in the arena to throw mysef skywards.

 

I quickly kick the weapons to the side. "I don't do mercy, sadly." I say in a cold voice, swinging the sword at the soldier's neck.

 

"Agh!" He yells as you cut his throat. He falls to the ground, dead. Leon jumps up into the caravan with you.

"We've got everything covered in the other caravans. Lumi said we need you to stand on guard while we load all the supplies to a single caravan."

You swing it around you, hitting nothing. You propel yourself forwards and the projection still hits nothing as you swing it around wildly.

"Kyln, I need you to do something or you'll be defeated by default!" yells Rex'shll.

No response.

It's a map of Regia Castra. All of a sudden, an explosion rocks the cavern. Several of the workers look shocked.

"Most certainly. The monks and priests are just having breakfast. I invite you into our monastery to join us in eating." He says, beckoning you in.

"We were SUPPOSED to strengthen the seal on The God of Doom, Yvander. By sacrificing one who has sinned, in this case a murderer and a thief, we can strengthen the barrier with their soul. However, the sacrificial knife was broken in the sacrifice, and I can only fear the worse." The leader explains, "I can also give you a short summary of the seal and how it came to be if you'd like."

The heat is just about bearable, and luckily it seems you've reached its apex. You continue down the cave, eventually you can see that the floor, ceiling, and walls are all red-hot rock now. Occasionally you can even see lava cracks in them. The sound of metal slamming into metal gets louder.

You get closer and closer to the bush. You can hear sounds of...struggle? A muffled voice seems to be calling for help from the bush.

You swoop in again, smashing through the shield. However, this causes you to lose your momentum and stops you from continuing. All of a sudden, you hear a massive roar form the distance.

Just as you get up, your hearing comes back. You hear the sound of shouts...and metal clanging...and- all of a sudden an explosion goes off a few feet from you, knocking you to the ground. Several rocks and shrapnel hit you, though none of them are lethal.

 

I use the force of the water to stay in place, still covering myself with wild swings of both my lance and its projection.
After a few seconds, I throw the projection straight below me, drop after it, and swing both real and projection around me as I land.
