Oh lol ok. Btw I was running around the molten heights and sky island at level 50 (at which point I also went to the hive). But I will say the hapry's multi hit is dangerous no matter what level.

Sorry for the late reply, it's just a fun fact, you know, Grian had in mind the idea of a hive for a rather intelligent race of insectoids, but did not manage to decide on a name yet, and thus, that name sprung up immediatly when I heard what he wanted.

 

Don't really know of anyone said this. But a psuedopod(it's spelled the same as in the dragons but I'm too lazy to look up) is a extension of the cytoplasm used to move and trap food. This is used by some Protists. This could possibly fit into the lore.

I might have missed this, where does it say that qira was asked to stay in the hive?

This looks more like the butcher's style from that quest I forgot the name of (I'm sure someone posted about it already)
You also ignore the fact that qira was able to destroy the decay but refused to do so preferring staying in her hive getting ready for a bigger threat (follow up update/dern?)

1) in the official lore (correct me if I am wrong) the gavel government asks her to stop the decay, but she says no. So since they don't want such a powerful being running around unchecked, they ask he to stay in the hive. I would say they forced her, but I think it was more like a political "say yes or you look bad" kind of deal

2) I did not feel like that "bigger threat" part was nessesary, and I also did not actually know that. Could you find where it says that? I may have overlooked it

I was under the impression that she stayed in the hive under her own free will (who could make her stay there?)
when you finish the hive this is the last dialogue
Yansur: To beat Mistress... Masterful. Have we been cooped up in this Hive that long that our creations are outdated?
Yansur: To be defeated by a human of Wynn.. Embarrassing. Well, here is your reward.
Yansur: Mistress Qira was once called upon to help stop the decay of the forest.
Yansur: With her boundless knowledge she surely would have cured it. But she declined.
Yansur: She instead chose to create, obsessed with preparing for some sort of war.
Yansur: Mistress never elaborated, but seemed like she knew something we didn’t. She always said the darkness was coming. But to have a human beat Mistress Qira herself, I don't think we stand a chance. Honour to you, warrior of Wynn.

Yansur: Gavel’s governments can not stop Mistress Qira. I doubt you can either

in the second dialogue Yansur mentions a deal Qira made with the people of gavel
Yansur: I doubt you are still worth Mistress’s time, however. She made a deal with Gavel’s people long ago.
Yansur: She could continue her unethical and possibly evil work…and in return, she would remain undisturbed in her Hive.

Well, a war is what seems to be hinted at quite a bit.

(In the logo, the runes there say "War of the Realms" or somethig along those lines)

 

Wait... there are yellowish eggs in many quests.
Such as in The Realm of Light, where they are shown to be seeds of Decay.
Also in Worm Holes, so who's not to say that she created Grootslangs?
There is an egg in Haven Antiquity too, but I forgot the lore of the quest.

Maybe the grootslangs are her babies tho, that's an interesting thought.

 

So what if she knows that the decay is maybe a weapon of dern to invade our realm? Dern is darkness right ? And she prepares for a war against darkness. What if she was not able to cure the decay but only to Slow it down and prepares now to fight them back with her creations ? Or what if she is just bored and wants a war ?

Also i dont think the whole hive is made of her creations. What about gales spirit ? I think Qira is not the only one who knows about the darkness that will come, and so a few of the best warriors,mages,Archers and aassasins joined qira to Form an alliance against the darkness.

What if they all, including bob, know what the decay and maybe even the corruption is made off but they were not able to stop it? Well, this is somewhat of another topic,heh

 

I don't think Dern is in any shape to go to war, the province itself is ruined and was over taken by whatever there is there.
I think that Gale's and Ohms story relate to Qira, they both went against her (why and under what circumstances I have no idea) and learned about her actions, on the way ohms died (or sacrifices himself) and gale decides to join qira in her cause and offers her services as an air archer.

 

Well remember, whatever dark realm destroyed Dern probably took over it as well. I mean, the realm or corruption seemed ready as hell to wage a thousand year war against Wynn. If the darkness realm took over Dern already, they probably have had at least a few centuries to get ready to move onto the next province, be that Wynn or Fruma (I'm looking at this in terms of geography)

 

my point was that Dern and its people are ruined and aren't in any shape to go to war, whatever destroyed Dern and took over might be ready for a second round tho.

 

That's how I see it. I think at this point "Dern" references what the province has become after the dark realm took it over. I actually have a lot of evidence about the real, taking over the province, but that's for another thread.
