OOC: That too. She is somewhat naive at times.

 

The illusion doesn't seem to do anything; they never come closer.

"No, I'm saying you didn't burn it all."

"You scared them a bit. It's just a misunderstanding."

 

After confirming they weren't coming after her, the girl dissolves the illusion. She decides to go back and check out the ruins before resorting to going around the humanoids.

 

"B-but they h-hurt me..." Katie says, showing her elbows. They still seem to be rather badly cut; though other than her elbows and knees, she doesn't seem to be as badly hurt anymore.

"I-I almost w-want to go h-home..." Katie says, sniffling.

 

"It's not like this flower can come back alive. It's just a flower. And besides, I still require its remains for my research." I say, weighing the pouch.

 

"I think I prefer God of Destruction."

"If this is the palace and it's the only place you can hide, where is this place?"

 

"Very well, Miss Anna."

 

Going back to what was your home, it's a complete mess; the first thing you recognize is your old house in ruins and your father dead under the rubble.
The entire army is dead around something else, but as far as you're concerned, it would appear that home is long gone.

"You'd be surprised."

"This isn't the palace. I will not tell you where, else others will know."

"It'll be okay. Don't worry."

 

"Very well" I comment, de-summoning the pouch.
OOC: So is FH still alive somehow? Or is (who I assume) Ruby talking about HH?

 

The girl sighs, then casts her mind out again, this time looking for spirits that might be floating through the carnage.

 

OOC: It's Ihra, and the piece of Sir Robert's soul within those ashes is going with the pouch.

All of them screaming, lost; it was a surprise attack.
The only one without a soul is the humanoid corpse in the center of the what-was-an-army.

 

OOC: So FH's soul is just flying around in the pouch. Great. Also, it's kinda hard distinguishing between which draconians are talking and which aren't. Lately I've been relying on the tone/way they speak, but I'm getting Ihra and Ruby mixed up. Maybe ragnyon as well. Iruk is one of the easier ones though.

"Very well." I reply, picking back up my notebook and quill and writing down several things that Ihra said.

 

The girl winces, quickly shutting out the screams, then heads to investigate the humanoid in the center of the army.

 

OOC: I'd do text color, but there are two problems;
1: It'd interfere with Aj's pre-existing colors
2: It's a pain to do on my phone, which I do about two thirds of the replies from.

Ihra seems a bit less uptight and more curious.
"So, do you write everything in that?"

Iruk seems to be bickering with Ruby off to the side.

It seems to be a humanoid dragon, but its body is mangled as is its robe. However, its horns are intact and bracelets of sorts are fused to their melted wrists.

 

OCC: I mean... You can always do "said Ihra" or something like that O.o

 

OOC: Also true.

 

The girl crouches down next to the humanoid body and examines the bracelets carefully.

 

"Usually notes. I had this notebook commissioned as a journal for in case I go on a journey. Now I am utilizing it as a storage for information about your race, which I will use as a reference for an informative book." I say, drawing a light sketch of Iruk and Ruby arguing.

 

They have some broken wiring sticking out, but most of it seems to be of magical origin.
The bracelets seem to be fine; the scales apparently fused to it, if you can wrench them off the corpse.
...If you really want something that you have no idea what it does.

"Huh. If it's enough to write a book, then you must have a big kingdom."

 

"Certainly one of the biggest in The Wastelands. And perhaps the only one that doesn't have a traumatizing event in the past. Then again, there was the Dark Age..." I reply, drawing another sketch of Ruby and Iruk.
