A girl wearing a white dress with gold patterns walks towards you. She says, "Hello, I'm Anna. Who are you?"

 

"Hail, Miss Anna. I am Dominus Terrae, Destroyer of Worlds. Or God of Destruction if you prefer that title."

 

I decide to persistently try and brave the tunnel again, and try to get back up to where Katie is, still using the walls and my rocket feet.

 

Ragnyon's spirit form floats into Katie's cavern, putting her hand on Katie's shoulder.
"It'll be alright..."

"Hey, you see that flower Myria is holding? Why don't you make it die as proof?"

"There's no other."

As the ground stops shaking and the world around you stops burning, the swamp appears to be surprisingly intact.

Unlike the populated part of Gargantuan, which looks more like just craters.
Did you wait too long to make a reappearance?
(You can explore the remains, turn to investigate what's causing the giant lava plume, continue with business as 'usual,' or think of something else to do after hiding underground during a meteor shower)

 

The girl pulled up her hood over her black hair, oddly flecked with silverish blond streaks. She decided to leave her hiding place, picking her way through the ruined swamp towards the lava plume to investigate.

 

You hear conversation in the distance.
Are they trying to lure you out with an illusion? They must be dumber than you thought.
You can go around it, but it'd add an extra while.

 

"It's already dead. I have it's ashes here. I'm going to study it's remains for the disease, in the hopes of vaccinating all of the plants in my kingdom." I comment, summoning the pouch.

 

The girl tries to reach out with her mind, searching for humans in the area.

 

When you make it up this time, you find multiple layers of ice spikes surrounding the top of the tunnel, stopping you from getting closer to Katie.

"H-Huh?" Katie says, looking around. She looks like she's been crying a lot.

 

"It's clearly not dead. Find it, and examine it."

Ragnyon's spirit is right behind her.
"It's okay, Katie. We're putting him through a lot of pain up there."

She senses humanoids, but no humans.
You notice a few of them trace your location.

 

"Th-Thanks..." Katie says through tears.

Katie tries hugging Ragnyon's spirit, crying.

 

I open up the pouch and take a good look at the ashes.
"I'm pretty sure that Miss Myria lit the flower on fire to stop the disease in it." I comment.

 

The hug makes contact, though it doesn't feel physical; mentally, it's inexplicably comforting.

"There was no disease in it. You're a god. Find it and kill it, you'll see."

 

The girl hastily finds the nearest tree. (Assuming there are any) She tries to memorize the basics of the tree- it's height, leaf color, and bark color, and then runs away from where she'd been standing. She stops after roughly ten seconds of running and tries to manipulate the air around her, making an illusion of the tree to which she can hide in.

 

"Are you saying...these are not real ashes?" I ask, again examining the ashes.

 

Katie keeps crying, hugging Ragnyon's spirit tighter, "Wh-Why d-do they all h-have to be so m-mean to me?" She asks tearfully.

 

OOC: Well, she already set her fate in stone by liking a crazed person who is bent on revenge.

 

OOC: New person acts nice and friendly - like new person. Not too hard to understand.

 

OOC: New person shows hostility and anger towards other friends - clear warning sign. Or ya know, it could just be that Katie was a bit naive.
