Economies In Wynncraft

This is how I believe each city has gotten their money. (Not everything is included here, obviously)

Ragni - Wheat
Maltic - Wheat (LOTS of Wheat)
Elkurn - mostly based on Nivla’s resources? Failing economy, nobody ever goes there
Detlas - Markets, Trading, LE conversion
Nemract - Fishing, Boatmaking
Ternaves - Horses
Bremminglar - Les pommes de terre
Almuj - Markets
Rymek - Mining
Nesaak - Ice Fishing, Lumber
Troms - Possibly mining
Llevigar - Quartz (Owns Karoc Quarry?), LE Conversion
Olux - Wheat, Lumber
Cinfras - LE Conversion, Trading, Airbase Transportation
Thesead - Mining
Rodoroc - Mining, LE Conversion

Ragni and Troms are said to have existed for a long time, so while there are no signs of current business exploitations, we have reason to believe they have accumulated quite a bit of currency.



Why is Almuj so rich?

It doesn’t have any natural resources, or markets exclusive to it (such as an LE merchant). They should even be losing money, due to the dying army ranks (as stated in “The Mercenary”). Here are my theories:




Theory BATTLES:

Theories have been made about how Almuj and Nesaak have been at war at some point in history. This is shown by the hidden barracks in each cities, with a map of the other inside them. Now, the lore has stated that Nesaak had existed before Almuj and even Detlas. This would have given them a large amount of time to expand the village into a powerful city. This is when the war might have occurred. I believe Almuj would have won this war, and burned down the city, leaving only a small village to reconstruct. Nesaak’s banks have very small amounts of money in them now. Almuj probably ransacked the treasury and stole everything percious. While the reason for war is unknown, this would be a logical explanation for why Almuj has unprecedented riches, and Nesaak is the only major city in Wynn to be fairly undeveloped.

Why did the war start?
If Nesaak was so powerful, how did Almuj defeat them?



Theory RESOURCE:

This is a far less probable theory, but I will put it here anyway. You may notice that inside Nesaak’s barracks, the map is not of Almuj but instead of a piece of desert near it. The commanders of Nesaak knew that Almuj has a resource hidden from the world here, and they harvested it and sold for hundreds of emeralds. The Nesaak army wanted to take some of this for their own, and started the war against Almuj for it.


Discontinuities:
What is the secret resource?
Why would Almuj want to keep it a secret?
Why is there nothing in the area specified that might imply a such a resource?

A suggestion I got for this was Oil! Oil is a natural resource found underground in deserts. But if mechanisms are powdered by magic, what is the use for it?

Fruma - sending multiple humans who may or may not be insane to rob banks, breed horses and mythic bows, fight thousands of creatures to get stuff from villagers only just to keep the cash for themselves.

LE conversion has no money gain. The richest town is really ternaves cause ive personally sunk 15 stacks of LE into them.

 

And many people have sunk much much more.
