Judging by your being confused and your stats, you're probably back from a long slumber. If so, welcome back!

Some pieces of armor are glitched to look the way they did before Gavel, and do not change. Wearing these pieces of armor will have no effect.
If I've been hearing (or rather seeing) correctly, you cannot sell these to other players.
You can keep them, however, as relics of the past.
Similarly, if you find any old endgame gear, it will be made of diamond, whereas new versions of those pieces will be iron, as the level cap has been increased. These pieces of gear can be sold, but only for a normal price.

 

that's a piece of armor that didn't get updated, its virtually useless.
you can keep it if you want but you aren't allowed to trade it with someone so it just takes up an inventory slot for now (it will never get updated).

Tonnes of things have changed in your absence, keep your old armour as a memento.

Elements, Gavel, new levels, mobs, bosses, etc... Everything's been updated and revised.
