You feel a presence nearby.
"How do you know he cannot hear you due to you whispering? There is a possibility that the unknown subject has the ability to hear what he otherwise would not hear?"

 

Without turning around, Q whispers back: "How do you know that I didn't account for that possibility? You don't, because I did. People tend to defend their integrity if and when it is threatened. Him hearing me will encourage him to defend his honor, and by doing so, offer reasons for why he should be trusted."
Q then turns around to look at who spoke.

 

Q doesn't see anyone.
"Interesting response. However, they seem to avoid anything put to them, meaning he will likely ignore our conversation if he can hear it."

 

"I'm trying to be sparing in what I say." Abigail whispers back.

 

"Maybe it's better to think of him as a pet, not a mount. How would you treat a pet if you were ambushed?"

"Well, frankly, I dunno. Most of our kind is mind controlled and I'm trying to free them

"I feel marginally less interested in killing you... but if I let you go, people will be able to trace where I am."

Ruby levitates over, along with Iruk.
"Hello, are you part of their group, too?"
"Iruk, no. I don't think she is. Judging by the energy expenditure to break her bracelets, I think she was brought here by force."

 

"Well, I'd try my best to keep him away from harm. Maybe get him to go to safety while I deal with the ambush." Artemis says.

 

"Then you may want to keep that in mind were our situation to turn sour."

 

"Yeah...but let's hope that doesn't happen, right?" Artemis asks nervously.

 

"It's inevitable we'll get into another fight. As long as you have a plan, you have an idea on how to keep him safe."

 

"Yeah, I guess there are multiple ways of getting him out of battle." Artemis says, looking over to Sgavrinn and Shadow Stephanie.

 

He's asleep, curled around and his wing over Shadow Stephanie.

"Remember, though he's a dragon, if you love him as a pet, treat him more like a dog."

 

"Alright. I understand; it's just he suggested flying me around while I shot at enemies," Artemis says, "I guess that's easier said than done."

 

"He'd need training, but yes. It's much easier said than done. Many dragons die that way; they focus more on setting up the shot for their rider than evading what may end them."

 

Artemis looks over at Sgavrinn sorrowfully, "He'll be my pet. Nothing more." She says.

 

"No kidding."
I say, supporting Abigail, while taking out one of her drawing, momentarily looking at it, and then putting it back.

"She does make some nice art, but if you're getting your own representation, your own work is the best."
I say to the man.

 

"Thank you, but I would rather my own representations."

"Hail, youngling! Have you any information on the draconian race?"

"I see..."
I jot down: Mind controlled - Working to free them
"Now, have you any information on a draconian named Ren?"

"Well said, Thirteen."

 

"Thank you."
I say, smiling.
"By now, are you just documenting what everyone knows?"

 

I nod.

 

"Ren? No, never heard of him. Is he mind controlled?"

"I'm not sure, but he is apperantly being hunted down. Perhaps you would like to see him?"
