"We don't even know if he has a family. It's not too odd to not have one."

 

"That might kill him. Whatever's got her has her tight."


"Thanks... But can we please be a bit diplomatic? Why is killing always the solution?"

 

"I'm gonna kill his family, then bring them back to life, then force them to make more children, then kill the children, then go back in time and kill his ancestors!" Shadow Stephanie says, losing control.

"When did this corruption start, anyway? Was there a major event that could have caused it?"


"KILL KILL KILL KILL KILL KILL!" Shadow Stephanie chants, smiling evilly.

 

"I think you need to calm down a bit."
I say, putting my hand on Shadow Stephanie's shoulder.

 

"Quite a while ago. Something cornered her and her fragments in her hoard. It went downhill from there."


"Eep..."
Ihra hides under Rineth's head.

 

You feel darkness invading your body, and Shadow Stephanie gives you an evil grin.

"It's a shame Aj swore off using his watch of true time. We, or he, could at least go back and see what happened." Abigail says.


"Hey Stephanie!" Stephanie shouts, holding up a sandwich.

Shadow Stephanie turns around, and noticing the sandwich, almost knocks Stephanie over grabbing it. She seems to calm down as she bites into it.

"Aw man, this sandwich is phucking amazing." Shadow Stephanie says, her mouth full. Something strange drips out of the sandwich as Shadow Stephanie eats it.

 

"He'd die if he tried."


"Did you put blood in it, Stephanie?" Rineth asks, unnerved.

 

I step away from her.

"I think it might be."
I say to Rineth.

 

"Oh...that's unfortunate. So we're facing some kind of unknown entity who invaded a god? Great." Abigail says.


"It contains blood, among other things, if that's what you're asking." Stephanie says. What looks like a human eyeball falls out of Shadow Stephanie's sandwich, which she quickly picks up and throws into her mouth.

"Five second rule!" Shadow Stephanie says, smiling.

 

"Oh."
I say, sounding a bit disgusted.

 

"It's better than her going killcrazy." Stephanie says.

Shadow Stephanie holds up her sandwich to you, "Wanna try a bite?" She asks, blood dripping from her mouth.

 

"Sure, why not? But don't expect me to actually eat it."
I spit out the remains of the marshmallow to the side, which is very little, and then I take a bite of the sandwich.

 

"Ugh..."

You can hear the sound of Ihra getting sick as Rineth grimaces.
"Forget I asked..." He mutters.

 

The sandwich tastes...quite disgusting. A rush of blood fills your mouth, as well as various chewy and crunchy bits you'd probably not want to know about.

"It's good, right? You can really taste the brain!" Shadow Stephanie says, smiling.

"Need something to soothe your stomach?" Artemis asks, handing Ihra a cup of nature elixir.

 

Her tongue lashes out and empties the cup at a speed Artemis didn't know was possible.

"Do you have a... me size amount of that?" Rineth grumbles.

 

"Delectable."
I lie, smiling.
"Say, do you know what exactly's in here, and what organism it's from?"

 

A large bowl grows in front of Rineth, and various flowers crawl up the sides of the bowl, pouring nature elixir into it.

Myria steps closer, her hands and eyes glowing, "You're welcome." She says.

"I'd say it's about two humans, stuffed into a sandwich. So the entirety of two humans," Shadow Stephanie says, "What do you think about the bones? Pretty crunchy, right?"

 

Rineth gets halfway through "Thank" before he turns and hurls liquid darkness.

Then drinks it, covering his ear holes with his claws the best he can.

Sgavrinn pokes his head out to see what the commotion is and immediately dives back under Rineth's wing.

 

"Yes, yes, crunchy, but..."
I start to say, reaching into my mouth.
"Da ting abut bones is..."
I say, hand in my mouth.
"Dey arn't good if..."
I pull out part of a bone.
"They get lodged in your mouth and make you bleed. So I'm going to try to pull most of the bits out."
I stick the now-bloody hand back in my mouth, digging around for more bones.

 

The flowers continue to supply nature elixir into the large bowl.

"Nature elixir has a variety of uses; luckily calming the stomach is one of them." Myria says.

Shadow Stephanie walks towards you, and in the space of a second, you feel her stick her hand into your mouth and grab all the pieces of bone. A small pile of broken up bones resides in her hand.

"You should've told me you don't like the bones!" Shadow Stephanie says, before pouring the bone shards into her mouth.
