Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

"No, I fought it here and had to go back."

 

Its innards were vaporized practically. Only its scales and robe remain.

Aside from physical cuts, the robe is surprisingly intact.

They have a ring and two bracelets, all fused with the wearer.

"Oh. Then why'd you have to go back?"

 

"If this draconian fought against this army, then I come to the conclusion that...draconians are most likely powerful and capable fighters." I comment, writing it down on a notepad from my bag.

 

A drawing of myself covered in various wounds, standing over the dead monster, appears on the notebook.

 

As you write it down, you can't help but to think how Ren doesn't fight.
Perhaps further investigation is neccesary.

"And I'm not good enough to heal you?"

 

"If Ren cannot fight, then I must come to the conclusion that not all draconians are capable fighters. Perphaps these draconians that cannot fight run the draconian society, such as with farms and construction." I comment, continuing to write it down.

 

"It's more something you probably couldn't even heal."

"No offence intended. You're a capable healer, but I don't think you can deal with what I'm dealing with."

 

Well, since the meteor shower, you can see Greenhill Stronghold from here. There's a bridge to more ruins to the south, and a big black lump in the distance.

"I can bring back the dead. Only thing I can't do is get your leg out of your throat, if it managed that. Also, why didn't Ruby help you?"

 

"I dunno. I guess she couldn't see it either?"

Abigail's pool starts bubbling rather furiously.

 

I head over to the big black lump, curious.

 

"No, I saw it."
"Then why didn't you do something?"
"I could've killed Aj as collateral."

"Myria, is she waking up?"

It's very distant. Looks like a charred hill or something from here.

 

I shake my head, before deciding to head over to the bridge instead.

 

"Looks to be." Myria says, retracting the wooden spikes.

A young looking Abigail, only about five or six years old, climbs out of the lava pool.

"Where's dake?" Abigail asks in a cute, young voice.

 

It's a bridge bigger than any building left standing.
Ruins remain, though there's a few small houses grouped together near a small farm. While it would be nice to exert your power, it's clearly a human settlement and doing anything to them wouldn't benefit you at all.

"Please make something work." Ruby mutters telepathically."

"Well, how long will you be out, Aj?"

 

I walk over to the human settlement.

 

"I'm not sure, though I'd bargain I'll be a while."

"Where's dake!?" Abigail asks again, getting frustrated.

"Abigail, I suggest you go back to your pool and complete the healing process." Myria says.

"No! I want to kill dake!" Abigail says.

 

The people there seem poor; they're just continuing with their business after they glance at you. Some people wave, others give you a curious look.

A white speck darts across the sky in the far distance.

"Great.
...How the hell did you get so beat up anyways? Aren't you one of the strongest Shadows?"

 

I approach one of them.
"Hail. Have you any idea on what has happened with those ruins?" I ask, pointing to the ruins and corpses.

 

"I fought one of the strongest monsters."

Abigail runs up to Ihra and starts pulling on her cloak, "Daaaaaaaaaake!" She says, frustrated.

 

"Next time, why don't you tell us something's there before you just scare us?"


"Abi-whothehell"
She blinks onto Rineth's snout.

"Only ours. Gargantuan had all but destroyed us. We only know that a meteor shower that only hit their nation happened a couple months ago."
