Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

The construct tries to growl.
"I... what is this?"

"What did you do to him?!"

A certain black dragon pops awake again. Upon seeing the construct, DH backs up, darkness seeping out of his mouth.

 

It manages to growl, strangely.

"We brought him back, for a reunion with you." Myria says, smiling.

"It's just Rineth." Artemis says happily.

 

Darkness continues to seep from DH's mouth.
"You decided to try this...again?!" DH exclaims in anger and fear.

 

"I thought Ihra would like a reunion." Artemis says happily.

 

"This is..." DH stops, spreads his wings, and flies off in anger and fear.

 

Noticing you fly off, Abigail flies after you.

"Where ya going? You too much of a wuss to face Rineth?" Abigail asks, flying next to you.

 

"It's just...how dare they use a wooden body?!" DH exclaims, continuing to fly, this time picking up speed.

 

"You waken my spirit to relive my failure?!"
"You didn't fail, it was an accident..."

They walk through, nodding at you as they go.

 

Once they go through, I immediately call for a guard.

 

"What else would they use? Vines? Flowers?" Abigail asks, managing to match your speed.

"I thought it would be nice to give Ihra a few more moments with you. If you don't want to be here, however, I'll remove your spirit." Myria says.

 

"I don't know...a crystal?!" DH exclaims, this time suddenly dive bombing to the ground and smashing through a layer of dirt and into a cavern.

 

Abigail follows, "How would he interact with us if he was confined to a crystal? All he could do is talk." Abigail says, taking off her helmet and letting her hair set ablaze, lighting the cavern.

 

"It doesn't matter! Anything but a wooden body!" DH roars, his voice echoing off the walls of the cavern, causing some dust to fall from the ceiling. The light reveals several piles of random things.

 

"Does this have something to do with Artemis' father?" Abigail asks, walking over to one of the piles and looking at it.

 

One runs in, saluting.

"Thank you for your consideration, but usually it's best to less sleeping spirits lie."
"What if I'm not done with you?"
"Hmm?"

Ihra's horns glow intensely, as does her staff's crystal.
"This light... it's painfully familiar..."
"I am more than a child now. You are more than a caretaker now."

Everything goes dark for everyone nearby for a moment.

The wood around Rineth cracks, rots, and falls off, revealing a normal looking Rineth.

"You brought me back."
"Only because they did half the work."
"Still."

Ihra hugs his neck, and though he tries to move away at first, his emotions get the better of him.
"Thank you, Artemis." He whispers, muffling Ihra's tears and wailing with his wing.

 

"I only did half the work, mother helped too." Artemis says telepathically.

Myria smiles.

 

"Yes." DH responds. The pile is largely filled with random junk, and occasionally treasures. A comb made of seashells, a petrified clownfish, an emerald crown, a dragon skull, etc.

"Guard, you and three others are to guard this portal. Do not let anyone through unless they are the messengers. Failure will not be tolerated. Understood?"

 

He nods, trying to orient himself again.
"While it was nice for me to get a break, I feel my task is not yet done. Though, I would like a word with Stephanie at some point."


OOC: Probably an awkward moment for Katie as she's enjoying herself in the spring, Ragnyon's hidden in there with her, then everything goes dark and poof Rineth

Three others come at his beckoning, and they all wait in front of the portal, weapons readied.

 

I walk out of the throne room and go to the courtyard.
