"Sounds fun. So how do you play it?"

I don't move but relax in the flower.

 

Oh. That's neat.
Pause.
So, if you don't mind me asking, how are you an 'esteemed guest of the king and queen'?

 

"You just need to select options when you fight stuff, run around doing quests and fight more stuff." Shadow Stephanie explains.

Shadow Stephanie starts the game, and she moves a character that looks a lot like herself. She runs into one of the enemies, starting a battle, and selects 'Attack', and her character runs up and hits the enemy.


You soon find yourself completely surrounded by the liquid, yet you don't drown. You start having visions, and you soon find yourself staring through the eyes of a fox. It looks like you're somehow outside the shadow palace.

"I'm a very powerful Shadow who has done a lot for the realm. It's earned me, other than a title of 'Hero', a few benefits within the realm's main kingdom." You remember.

 

Hm. Noted.
Pause.
Well, I'll go back to looking after Stephanie.
I think, looking down at her.

 

"As long as you just keep an eye on her, alright." You remember.

I appear next to Artemis, taking her hand.

 

I nod to AJ, then sit down, keeping my sight on Stephanie.

 

After a while, Stephanie's eyes start to slowly open.

"Uhh...ugh, w-what happened?" Stephanie asks, confused.

 

"Hey."
I greet her.
"You passed out."

 

"Oh..." Stephanie says. She seems uncomfortable.

A hand of ice forms next to Stephanie, offerring her a ice-cup of water. Stephanie takes it, looking back to the hot spring.

 

"Feeling better?"
I ask, standing up.

 

"Um...yeah...I guess..." Stephanie says. She doesn't seem to be herself.

Stephanie drinks the water and gets up, walking over to me.

 

I watch her walk over to you, wondering what she'll do.

 

"Hey...Aj...I know this might sound weird but...could I have a hug?" Stephanie asks.

"Oh, uh, sure!" I say, hugging Stephanie.

Stephanie hugs back tightly.

Artemis seems slightly confused, but smiles at the sweet showing of friendship.

 

I know exactly what's happening, but I don't seemed angered by it at all.
I just smile at the friendship as well.

A certain black dragon bursts awake.

"So, how was your adventure?" I ask to Artemis, yawning.

 

"Thanks, Aj." Stephanie says, eventually pulling away. A few tears run down her face.

"Hey, that's what friends are for. We're here for you, Steph'." I say, smiling.

"You shouldn't be afraid to speak up if there's something wrong." Artemis says, smiling too.

"It was...eventful." Artemis replies.

 

"In what way?"

 

"Well, Stephanie almost died..." Artemis says.

 

I continue smiling, listening and looking at the trio talk.
I look around for Abigail.
