Media Marked's Files Of Obscure Locations 7

Hi, I am Marked, and today I will take you to some of the more obscure locations in Wynn and Gavel.

Note: most location names are unofficial. Commentary goes below the relevant picture, not above.

Western Observatory

This observatory can be found overlooking the Gert camp.


The observatory as seen on the map.


The observatory can be reached through a mountain passage. Watch out for the Jinkos though.




The observatory is slightly overgrown.



A lone astronomer lives here, watching the skies for whatever reason.


I assume this is his office. It's a shame there aren't any signs or names items in item frames around that could give us some more information about his research.



The place looks pretty comfy.

Oh. Nothing to see here.


Just kidding. When it's daytime the telescope is blocked off, you can only see the stars at night. 4 unnamed constellations can be seen here.

Thesead Observatory

@TheAule has informed me there was another observatory in Gavel (I thought the one at the Gert camp was the only one in existence).



This observatory is oriented towards the north, while the western observatory is oriented towards the south.


The observatory is in the upper part of Thesead, house #407.




The interior is crammed and contains nothing of interest. You get a nice view of the city though.



This telescope is blocked off by a wood block at day (the western one by cobblestone) and shows 5 different constellations, which makes sense consider it's oriented in another direction.

Once again no information can be found regarding these stars.

Because of the 30 images per post limit I made a new thread despite the 6th edition only having one file. If I make a new file and it's small enough it'll go there.

you should include more than just 1 location, to invest people who have already been to this location

When I drew (badly) the marks of one map onto the other, it came out looking like the word 'Fish' with a few lines missing. Of course, that is almost definitely a mistake, but whatever lol.

 

Headset_O revived my thread now that there's a new ???, as this contained information to the old one. (I didn't know at the time)

After the new ??? quest came out the telescopes became nonfunctional... I'm so glad I found this thread, I wanted to see the constellations in the observatories for myself but I couldn't.

 

This is a professional necromancer. He just rose a thread from the dead.
