"No, she never leaves her hiding spot. Only Mistress has ever found her. We all avoid Ruby, for her own good. She'd freak if she knew we were alive."

 

"Are you a preserver too?!" I ask, clearly confused.

 

Emily seems shocked, then a jewel glows on her forehead.
"Yes. There are twelve, all made to resemble gems."

 

"How many are still alive?!"

 

"I only know of me, Ruby, and the one that hides all the time."

 

"Alright."

 

"Don't tell her. I know you have a second body."

 

"Alright then." I reply.

 

"I don't know where it's coming from, I only know that it's there. If it's powerful enough to signal to me, it has to be blocked by something if I can't find exactly where it is."

"What is this place? I haven't seen anything like it."

"I'm just having a look round the palace and I found this garden. What do you mean by that?"

 

"Mmm... Alright."
Reed grumbles a bit.
"Daras, should we take her to the others?"

 

"Yes, we should."

 

"Anna, you can walk on your own, right?"
Reed starts towards the spring.

 

"That's good. Are you hurt in any way?" Myria asks.

"Hey Thirteen!" Artemis says happily, smiling at you.

"It's my chilling room. Sometimes you need to get away from everything and play some games." Shadow Stephanie says calmly.

"Cyka Blyat!" Shadow Stephanie suddenly says into her headset.


"Many guests of the palace come here to re-establish their connection with nature; since this realm is rather barren. Come, let me show you." The forest guardian says, walking away and gesturing for you to follow.

 

"Yes and no. Physically, no. Mentally, scarred. We found out that my nightmare of Nyre took a physical form. Fun, eh?"

 

-Meanwhile-

"You never should have tried."
Reflet's unable to speak, unable to move.
"Shall I claim you first? The first of my many enemies here."
Her neck is slit.
"The first of many victims.
Best of all?
The first to bring me relief."
Cackling, howling, laughing.

Her vision distorted. The seal.
A crack.

"I'm going to guess we kill him. Somehow. Again-ish."

 

"Maybe we could get Aj to kill him, since he's sort of a dream-self." I suggest.

"But...wouldn't he need to both be asleep, but also conscious of what to do, and we'd also need to somehow get his dream-self?" Artemis asks.

"Oh yeah...I'll just slice him up with Shadow Katana; paradoxes man." I say.
