"I want to know who this mystery sender is. Why would we beg for you to kill us?" Abigail asks.


"Yes, Artemis. I made sure to teach you almost everything I knew." Myria says.

"I know but...you're meant to kill your enemy; it's kill or be killed. What if you're the one to get killed?" Artemis says nervously.

 

"That only applies to Ragnyon."


"Then the rest of us fight harder. The middle of combat is a pretty bad time to mourn."

 

"Is it Xlentia? An old accquaintance of Ragnyon's? Ragnyon's mother or father? Ruby? Virei'tus?" Abigail asks.


"Yeah...we're stronger in numbers." Artemis says, hugging Sgavrinn.

 

Ruby forces a telepathic link onto Abigail.
"I'm trying not to tell her Aj is a king. Just drop the subject, it'll be easier on all of us."


He hums, hugging Artemis back with his wing.
"I hope it never comes to that, though. I like happy endings."

 

"Hey, how do you know that!? Back off reading my mind, sister!" Abigail thinks, annoyed.


"Life isn't a fairy's tale. Sometimes we meet an unfortunate endings." Myria says.

"I'm sure we'll be fine though, right? Maybe we could ask Aj to summon his army if things get dire?" Artemis asks.

 

"I didn't get it from you. I'm just trying to ask you to drop the subject!"


"I don't know if he'd like that. It does give us a cushion if you needed an army."

 

"Jeez fine, keep your horns on." Abigail says, going back to reading the generator.


"Yeah...it could give us time to get away, or to the shadow palace for safety." Artemis says, hugging Sgavrinn tighter.

 

"Oh, hello there Pyk. Shall I begin attempting to transform the blades into a spearhead?"

A certain large dragon bursts out of the ground right beside Aj. "How was the trip? Run into any problems? Gigantic creature from other dimension invading? Tripped on a rock? Whole realm sucked into oblivion? Revolution? Tell me all!"
It seems I have mastered the art of hiding.

 

I hold Shadow Katana to your neck, a serious expression on my face, but remove it when I see its you.

"Stephanie got eaten and almost killed. That's about it," I say, "Speaking of which, I'd like to see you fight one of the beasts from my realm; I'm sure you'd destroy it."

I give you an evil grin.

 

"No thanks." Is reply modestly, clearly not getting the intention. Or Perphaps I am, and am just hiding it.

"I'm getting more than enough of my training. Also, my other body found a knife designed to destroy Xlentia."

 

"That doesn't sound good. Maybe you could bring it here and I could destroy it with Shadow Katana? Since Shadow Katana's a paradox, it can destroy most magical items," I say, "I mean, I guess it isn't so bad should she get out of control, but if it were to fall into the wrong hands..."

 

I continue the job, wondering if a doctor would follow me out of the city to treat Opal's wound.

 

"It is completely immune to dark magic in any shape or form. We're about to send a sacrifice to drop it off in Oblivion, since no matter how many times I destroy it, it just keeps on forming back."

 

"Shadow Katana isn't magical, and at the same time, contains every element of magic possible. It's not tied to darkness because I named it Shadow Katana, ya know," I say, "If it cannot be destroyed, then what better to destroy it than a paradox?"

 

"I'm getting a bad feeling off of this. I think it's better to sacrifice a draconian that has serious animosity towards me than risk destroying all known universes."

Pause.
"At least that's what my other body says."

Another pause.
"Well, It's probably fine. Pyk volunteered herself after all, and as I quote ' It's safer I do it. I'm but a puppet.'"

 

"I guess sacrificing someone for the sake of safety is better than risking destroying universes," I say, "But...it's just a dagger. How would it destroy all known universes?"

 

"I'm talking about you using a paradox to destroy a supposedly unbreakable knife."

 

"Well, yeah. If it's unbreakable, only a paradox could break it. Paradoxes are both confusing and really simple to understand." I say.

 

"I'd rather not take my chances."
