Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

Idala looks inside a shower to see how wet it is inside.

"Sausages and bacon please."

 

The shower is fairly dry, and it seems to be a room to itself. Looks good for hiding.


"Ah, very good, Mister Eras. Please take a seat, we'll have your food ready soon." The Shadow says, walking off.

She suddenly turns around, "Would you like someone to assist you with eating, Mister Eras?"

 

OOC: Does the shower have a door?

"I'll try without someone helping me this time."

 

OOC: Ah, a god getting help eating breakfast. The pragmatic Helianthus will have none of this.

 

OOC: Yes. I sort of meant that by the 'room to itself', it's an individual room type of deal.


"Alright, Mister Eras. There's no shame in asking for help if you need it, though." The Shadow says, walking off.

 

OOC: If you hadn't eaten anything for about 30,000 years and had so many memories that remembering how to eat would be hard, you might do the same.

OOC: Ah, ok.

She quietly shuts the door, but if there is a lock, she doesn't lock it, assuming a locked door would be suspicious.

"Thank you."
He patiently waits for the food.

 

The footsteps grow louder outside, and the sound of doors opening can be heard just next to Idala's shower. The doors open and close, coming closer to Idala's, before a shadow of feet can be seen just outside the door, and breathing can be heard on the other side of the door.


A while later, the Shadow returns with a platter. She places it in front of you, and takes off the lid, revealing a plateful of sausages and bacon. Some sausages are wrapped in bacon, while others have what looks like bacon stuffed into them.

 

Out of worry, she puts one hand nearer to her satchel.

OOC: Can you read my mind or something, because I was thinking that Eras could have that... maybe there's a hidden shadow behind me all the time taking notes about my plans. YOU WILL NEVER FIND OUT!

I slowly slice a piece of one of the sausages. After eating it, I then... brutally slash the meal apart with cutlery? and eat it ('s remains) enthusiastically.
It seems I've finally remembered how to eat again.

 

The handle on the door starts to turn...


OOC: Pigs in blankets are delicious though, so if you have bacon and sausages, they have to appear.

The Shadow smiles at your malicious affection for your food, and waits a short distance away from the table.

 

Idala is so worried that she doesn't even move.

OOC: Yep. Haven't seen it done the other way round though.
You aren't denying the Shadow behind me though.

A while later I finish the meal.
"Thank you. That was a very good meal.", I say to the Shadow.

 

The door starts to open, and a Shadow can just about be seen opening it. Idala probably has about a second to do something.


OOC: You can have a Shadow if you want. Like...you could literally summon one in the palace if you wanted.

"I'm glad you enjoyed it." The Shadow says, smiling and taking your platter away.

 

Idala is still petrified, except for hand which is starting to reach into her satchel.
Her eyes are glowing slightly purple.

OOC: I meant the one you planted behind me to watch what I'm typing and to read my mind! Little does it know, Daras taught me a few tricks- WAIT NO IT'S SEEING ME TYPING PLEASE STOP IT SHADOW!

"Thank you. Please could you tell me where the others are?"

 

The door opens, and a guard gives Idala a confused, the stern look, "Who the 'ell are you and what the 'ell are you doing 'ere?" he asks, drawing his sword.


OOC: Oh right, him. *you feel something breathing on your neck*

"I believe they left. Her highness said she was going to take you back when she saw you." The Shadow says.

 

"I- I was exploring the palace when I found this place. You scared me so I ran in here."
The purple glow fades.

OOC: Wait, was the Shadow there just now when I got changed?!

"Ah, okay. I have to find Idala first though. Do you know where she might be?"

 

"You still 'ave to tell me who ya' are. I don't think tha' queen would like intruders." The Shadow says, sheathing his blade and crossing his arms.


OOC: "Our culture is different from yours. Parts of your anatomy you might be embarrassed about are just parts of your anatomy to us. Don't worry, I don't really care how you look; that's not what I'm observing."


"Sorry, but I don't know. She went to explore the palace by herself while you were still asleep." The Shadow apologises.

 

"Oh, I'm Idala. I came here - to the palace, not this place - with Aj, his friends and Eras."

OOC: Then what are you observing?! Oh, I see. You want to learn quotes from my Macbeth textbook, right? Try saying, "False face must hide what the false heart doth know", repeatedly and quickly. Yes, I just invoked a quote from Shakespeare here. I'm sorry.

"That's okay. She's probably found somewhere she likes here."

 

"Oh, you're wit' the king? I'm terribl'y sorry, I shouldn't 'a scared you.," The Shadow says, bowing, "Please, go back to what you were doing."


OOC: "I've lived long enough to spend some of my infinite years reading. I know enough about Shakespeare already, especially since I used to attend some of his masterpieces. I'm not idiotic enough to tell you what I'm here for, though I'll admit it was not the most intelligent thing to reveal my presence through this text."


"I do hope so. Feel free to explore yourself, Mister Eras; maybe you'll find Miss Idala." The Shadow says.

 

OOC: OOC means "Out Of Character", you doofs. Use OOC without using characters.

 

OOC: Thought it meant out of context, like, out of context of the story. And how do you know I'm using characters? Just because "I'm enclosing certain parts of speech" with speech marks, doesn't "mean its a" character speaking.

 

"I finished what I was doing anyway, but thank you."

OOC: MASTERPIECES?! *gets the brightest thing I can find, which happens to be a lamp with a seriously bright light right next to my computer, and shines it at the Shadow* THEY ARE PURE EVIL, THEY GIVE ME SOMETHING CALLED 'HOMEWORK'. YOU KNOW HOW THAT FEELS, RIGHT?!
