Umm Guys, Wtf Did You Do To The Bows? ( Definitive Proof That Cluster Sucks )

I dunno man. What life steal? What Poison? What exploding? Exploding isn't the best stat, life steal is too low to matter, poison is also not very high. If you use the lv 98 normal bow, it'd do more damage, and I'd most certainly trade that 1-2k dmg for a bit of irrelevant stats. I'm not going to need them 9/10 times. Because Cluster is super fast, the steals don't trigger often.

I guess that Powders make it good.

 

If 4 slots is insanely OP, Empire Builder is broken.

 

Generally, unless a weapon is very special, it does not get more than 3 slots. Empire Builder, however, deals pitiful damage as it is. This is why items such as Cerid's Dynamo, Empire Builder, and Cluster have such awful damage; high slot count.


I created Cluster with the mindset of "Bow whose entire gimmick is spamming shots. What will benefit players most with that playstyle?" Thusly, the stealing identifications and poison were added. Admittedly, I created the bow before I was aware that Explosion only activated upon the death of a mob, meaning I thought every other shot would create an explosion on average. However, that was the point where I added the fourth powder slot to compensate.

 

These threads will probably go away after the powder update and they will all be like OMG MY WEAPON IS SO OP NOW. Until then expect whining.

Why don't you change it so that it explodes at a chance per shot?

Yes yes I have but most exploding items were meant to explode per hit like selvut said so it was just unexpected that this would be the case of how it worked

Have u seen any mythic spear or any other good mythic. Yeah I know you are going to say, oh it's a mythic it should be op but a chance to do a bit more damage and have an AOE hit is not as op as alkatraz or apoc imo

 

You're missing the point entirely. Exploding would be OP because its a huge AOE, whereas Alkatraz is a much smaller AOE. Alkatraz is broken for other reasons though.

 

Still though, if 4 slots is good, 8 has to be INSANELY OP.
Actually, how much damage does the Cluster do?

 

But Empire Builder does 10-35 normal speed damage, my guess is that it's strength will depend on your creativity.

50-200 neutral damage at Super Fast attack speed.

Well, the empire builder is less OP than I thought compared to this.
