Info About Old Nether And Adventurer Armor

I mean I'm not wrong in this case no1 is selling their nether armor for cheaper then before, I'm not saying mods have no authority I'm just saying the owners of nether armor don't listen to them on this subject

 

If it were me I would just take into consideration and listen to them and go by what they say and just sell it for cheap or even better id just give it for free. This is if I had nether armor to give out, that is. Lol

 

The sellers aren't the main audience that were speaking to.

We want any potential buyer of nether/adventuer armor to know it could be a glitched item and that there will be an exact duplicate of that item that mobs will drop in the near future.
It would be very unfair to them if they found this out after buying those items.

Its ok if some or even none of the sellers listen as long as all of the buyers know the truth.

If nether doesn't sell for stacks of Le then thats all that matters, we dont care if it sells for a small amount or not at all.

 

That makes sense I don't really want to get in an argument with anyone and don't really care about this topic since I don't own either of the armors anymore but I like your way of explaining this situation better then Selvuts

 

Essentially, this whole post can be boiled down to this:

Dyes and enchantments, since they do nothing to affect the abilities of the armor and you can find "clean" versions of it, do not affect that item's value.

This means that once the items -are- dyed, the undyed versions will not have any more value. And, before you say the enchantments do affect things, the enchantments pre-Gavel were custom-coded. That code is now gone, and the vanilla enchantments do not work on our mob system, so they truly do not do anything.

 

and undyed armor would never become a collectable as you can undye armor.

Being I collected 30ish sets of adventurer armor all for 20LE+ each... I can say this has hurt me quite a bit and I am rather displeased with it xD
Could you at least make some distinction between the old and the new so I could at least have some sort of bragging right???... Because this really is screwing me over...
(I even fricking got banned twice I believe while I was collecting this armor... For duping... :/)

Note: By this I mean... Don't want it to effect the economy, right? But would also enjoy it if you didn't screw over the people who collected it ;-;

 

I'll now just accept it, but what I don't like about it is that now everybody wants ONLY the colored ones, but they want it for 2 le because they say it's equal to the undyed... thats poor

Is it really considered scamming if the person offers you an amount much larger than said items worth?
It's their fault for not researching the items value, right? Or at least as long as you aren't saying the item is worth <insert dollar amount> at any point.

Just a question. I just can't see anyone ever being like:
"Offer"
"30LE"
"Oh well its actually only worth 5LE"
"Oh, ok 5LE!"

I believe the reasoning behind "No refunds" is that it's much less of a hassle as the person could very well be lying. I get it, I like that idea. But it's not like a policy like this has absolutely no drawbacks. They (staff) give no push forwards, but these sort of things sure do provide ample room to fall back down. If you encounter a bug and end up losing all the nice valuable things you had on you or the items/LE you had JUST traded for, well... ouch. The armor that people bought, either for an investment or for the rarity, is now "worthless" and until further notice, it's illegal to sell this armor for more than it's counterpart price? Glad I wasn't on that train.

 

This is what this thread is for, to inform people who dont know.
