Info About Old Nether And Adventurer Armor

Some of you may have seen people trying to sell their old nether and adventurer armor for large amounts of Le. This is wrong and i will explain why that is.

Firstly, there is the fact that it can be dropped from mobs. I know what you're going to say and yes its leather and not the original color, this was a bug.
It will eventually begin to drop in its original color soon(TM). It will also have its old armor texture once armor skins return soon(TM again).
Until then there is a problem we have.

Players can glitch this leather armor and turn its color into its old red counterpart, making it IMPOSSIBLE to tell the difference between old and new.
If we allow these items to be sold for stacks of Le, then we allow glitchers to gain stacks upon stacks of Le without any work or effort.
Please understand this is for your own protection.
We will close any thread we have to if we believe it will damage the economy or wynncrafts players as a whole.

I understand that some of you value these items, because they used to be very desirable....i too have an old unenchanted nether set.
Its fine if you want to hold onto it because of what it meant to you.
If you try to sell it for a lot of Le, nobody will be able to tell the difference between a glitch dyed set and a normal old set...not even mods, and we can't allow that.
This is not just from me, Selvut, or any single mod.
This is from all of us to make sure we keep the server as healthy as we can.

There will be no changing this rule at least for the foreseeable future, however i will keep this thread open unless it gets out of hand for open discussion.
If anyone has problems or concerns with this feel free to post as long as its not going to start a flame war.

Edit 20th Nov. 2017: This rule also applies to items of a different than normal material type (such as a diamond blue mask) and to items with missing or extra IDs due to havimg been identified before those IDs were added (such as old concentrations)

 

How does this apply to Enchanted dyed Nether armor however?

 

The same applies.

(Off-topic?) How much should Nether armor even go for in general? I can't see a set going for 16EB at most, but that might just be because I'm terrible at prices.

Essentially, it all boils down to this: Monetarily, dyes and enchantments on the armor do not add to its value. So do not advertise it as though it does.

 

You wont get in trouble if it was previously if thats what you're asking.

I wouldnt reccomend buying or selling the armor at all. We will not "make" a price, but we want to tell everyone that the current dyed armors may not be legit and in the future the same dyed armor will be dropped by mobs and readily available.

 

It's really sad they thinking Selvut was abusing his power ( Yes, a player said that he is abusing. )
They asking bad about selvut, he is basically, one, and the first representant about all this,
but major nether/adventurer's armor owners not accepted that,
some of theys said that i "Suck too much moderator ass",
And, one even said "The whole staff not know whats the price soo."
when i said that selvut not was alone here, and whole staff are with he.
But i not knowed the meaning behind it all, now i know.
The staff, is saving alot of people from scams.

But Nether armor is currently unobtainable, no? I've made 2 fresh characters, and they're both higher level than nether armor, and I haven't gotten a single piece, whereas I've gotten multiple pieces of Adventurer's armor.

 

Blazes currently drop nether armor, i have gotten them as drops myself(not sure what else does).

 

Ahh that explains it. Neither of my characters did many quests, and thus, haven't been around blazes for too long.... but wait... my archer, in helping a person with ToL, killed quite a few Blazes getting the powder. I don't think I had one drop. I guess i was just unlucky... I'll take your word for it.

 

All mobs around the Nether area (Nether Blaze, Nether God, Nether Magma Slime, Nether Wight, Corrupt Stone, Soul Corrupter) can drop Nether Armor.

 

How could I possibly obtain this " Nether Armor "? I'm a collector, as I have the entire relic set.

Grind mobs around the Nether Portal region. Nether Blazes, Nether Gods, Nether Magma Slimes, Nether Wights, Corrupt Stones, and Soul Corrupters may drop it.
