Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

"Ohohoh, this is interesting." I say, rolling out of the way of the broadsword and arrows. "Really wish I had my spear with me right now." I comment, getting back up and firing arrows while backing up.

 

"Why don't you-"
He hurls a lance at you whilst charging at an angle.
"-try mine?"

 

"Nyre? He's working in the puppy stables! I suggest you talk to Shadow Stephanie, see if she'll let you keep your job at the snack bar. I can't believe you're slacking off work for this. Whoa, look! Duke Butterscotch is making a comeback." I respond. Ihra gets a vision of an adorable puppy running ahead of the other adorable puppies.

The guards' eye's glow red intimidatingly, "Do you believe in ghost stories, Ihra?" The guard asks, an evil grin on his face.

 

"I prefer my own weapons." I reply, rolling out of the lance and placing my sword in front of him, as if to trip him.

OOC: And it was at this moment that Ihra knew, she f*cked up.

 

She gives up on Aj and tries Shadow Stephanie.
"Please be awake. Please. Please. Please."

"No... why?"
She backs away from the guard.

He leaps over you and sticks an arrow in your left foot.
"Shame."

 

It gets about halfway through my armor. "Jeez! How thick is this armor?! No wonder it's so heavy!" I complain, pulling out the arrow and throwing it at him. I toss my crossbow to the side and brandish my sword as I get up.

 

"You have reached Shadow Stephanie; how may I direct your telepathic call?" Shadow Stephanie responds.

"Well, you better start believin', Ihra," the guard says, "Because you're about to be in one."

The guard draws his sword, and the guard by the door grabs Ihra's arms, holding her tightly.

 

You bring your blade up just in time to block a bladed edge of his bow.
He kicks at you and whips you with his tail.

"THEY'RE GONNA KILL ME HELP!"

Ihra blinks out of his grip, then smirks.
"What, you think I can become a goddess and be that helpless?"

 

"What? Who's going to kill you!? Where are you!?" Shadow Stephanie responds.

"Oh no! What am I going to do! 'Ere's only one o' me!" The guard says, pretending to be scared.

Ihra feels a blade against her neck.

 

"You're guards! They think I killed one of them; it was my nightmare! My nightmare of Nyre took a physical form and they'reblamingmeforittheyhaveabladetomyneckpleasehelp!!"

She just starts blinking around.
"There will be if I get your queen's permission."

 

"Woah man, you have whip?" I comment sarcastically, charging towards him, but changing my angle so that I miss him. "Try to dodge this!" I taunt, sword held in an offensive position as I charge towards him.

 

He fires more arrows at you, backpedaling.

 

The guard seems slightly intimidated.

One of the guards manages to hit Ihra in the gut, extremely hard.

The sound of a violin fills the dining hall, and Shadow Stephanie appears in the centre; playing a pure white violin. Most of the guards stop what they're doing.

 

She throws up on the floor, then collapses, coughing.

 

I continue my charge, but then change my angle of my sword so that it narrowly grazes his arm. After grazing his arm, I then roll out of the way of any further arrows.

 

It hardly scratches his armor.
He turns hard and hits you hard with his bladed bow.
"Rolls and spins are slower than keeping your momentum."

 

The guard puts his foot on Ihra's head, sneering and drawing his blade while pushing Ihra's head into the floor.

Shadow Stephanie keeps playing her tune, before suddenly playing a sour note. As the note is played, all of the guards necks become slit, before a shower of shadow crystals falls to the floor.

Shadow Stephanie plays a few more notes, before playing another sour note. The shadow crystals explode.

Ihra feels a pair of hands picking her up.

"How bad are you hurt, Ihra?" Shadow Stephanie asks, holding Ihra in her arms.

 

"That's the point." I say, getting up and thrusting my sword at him.

 

"Ugh... just a headache and exponentially raised blood pressure... Thanks for coming. Aj was asleep when I tried reaching out to him.

...I'm sorry for this mess."

He bats it out of your hand with his tail.
"What point? It looks like it's over there to me!"
He cuts your right foot off at the ankle, then turns his shoulder to you and charges you.

The healer prepares a spell.

 

"Hohoho! A charge, now?" I taunt, grinning. I suddenly summon a small barrier in between us. I grab my sword as I steal an ability from him.
