Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

"And lucky you, you get a target that doesn't care much for damage from blades, huh."
I take the blade out of my hand.
I toss it down to him.
"Here, take it. I don't need it."
I wait for what he does.

 

The first cut is clean. The stab, again, has too much force in it. The cut after it doesn't make it all the way.
"Vary your approach, else you'll find that happening in combat."

"Usually 'Artificial Intelligence' lacks the latter. I was hoping; easy jobs mean another easy month of life."
He catches the blade, gets it spinning, then hurls it at you.

 

I simply drop down and go to the side.
"Isn't it great being a robot? Barely anyone actually remembers or even cares for you, and if you just try and be real nice, and someone ends up really liking you, you can't feel the same way."
Pause.
"Just as a random question, do you have a digestive system?"

 

"Alright then." I slash at the dummy, then stab it, and then kick it to help me get my sword out, and then go for a de-capitation.

You graze one of his blades on your way down.
"I don't even have a throat."

The decapitation comes to late; it phases out.
"Getting better."

 

"Oh. Well then. Back to killing each other's useless lives."
I charge at him, the same way as before.

 

"Come on. There's gotta be a reason the Hive Master sees you as a threat. What've you done? Please. There's something."
He stays just out of range.

 

The guards pretend they can't hear Ihra, continuing to talk amoungst themselves.

Abigail finishes her breakfast, wiping her mouth with a napkin. The Shadow walks over and takes her plate.

"Well, I'm going to go see Stephanie. Sure you don't want to come?" Abigail asks.

 

"No, I do want to come. I can't believe they think that-"
She raises her voice intentionally, knowing the guards will be able to hear her.
"I'd save your queen's form then intentionally kill one of you!"
She glares at the guards as she rushes to the door ahead of Abigail.

 

"Some healer you're turning out to be!" A guard shouts as Ihra heads to the door. The guard holds the door open, the same stern expression and silent look. He grumbles something as Ihra walks through.

Abigail gets on her skateboard and grinds on one of the tables, headed toward the door.

 

I nod, and then slash at the dummy, stab it, and then get my sword out by dragging it out through the side. (Essentially moving my sword to the side while it is inside the dummy)

 

She pauses at the guard.
"Still? Geez. Someone dies in my nightmare, and then everyone blames me for killing someone. Is it my fault I'm haunted by those who wanted me dead?!"
She pauses.
"Wait. Do you know the guard who was assigned to watch me? I need to ask him something."

"Your first guard was killed, the guard that watched you for the rest of the night is over there," The guard says, pointing to the table of guards, "And, for your information, I said those guards were immature."

Abigail waits by the elevator, slightly confused.

 

I'll be able to blend in here, I think. Besides, they don't know much about the tribals, and most wouldn't know what one of us looks like. I walk up to the gates. "Hello," I say. "How can I enter this great city?"

 

This fares a bit better, but nothing super significant. You make the interior cut clean.

"Abigail, go on without me. I think I read about this in a tome I wasn't supposed to read!"
Ihra walks over to the guard.
"Pardon me, but were you the one who watched me for the latter part of last night? I... uh... was wondering if you saw what kind of weapon was used for the murder. I only use this staff; if it was anything else, I might know who's framing me."

The guards look at you worriedly.
"You look rather worn, traveler. As long as you aren't heavily armed, please enter and get some rest."

 

I declare my weapons, saying, "Just my crossbow and a sword." I pull them out and show them to the guards, then put them away. "Do you know where I can find a doctor, some work, and a place where I can buy supplies?"

 

"Sure, just check near the inn. There's always a task that needs doing there, and several people live off the payments from simple chores. Supplies and a doctor are on the other side of town, though."

 

"Alright, you do your black magic stuff, I'll try and figure out this elevator." Abigail says, walking into the elevator and turning the dials.

"You had a crossbow, though it looked like you blasted Mike's face in with a blast of light magic." The guard says.

"Mike's the guard you killed, you witch." A guard nearby says.
