Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

You finally make a clean cut.
"Told you it was a user issue."

 

"We won't be in a town or city soon, though. Once we're on the outskirts on Ronam, you can hide." I continue walking west with Opal.

 

"Fine, fine. You know where I can get one of these? I don't wanna waste my materials for a knife in forging a broadsword."

 

"Alright, then... Let me know when we get there."
You're going slower than you'd like, but at least you still have energy.

"I don't see how those are related, but sure. There's a small weapons cache back here. You can take one of the basic broadswords there."

 

"Alright." I look for the weapon cache and take out a broadsword when I find it.

 

It's in the back; it's just a wall mounted rack lined with various swords.

The one you take isn't as large as the guard's, but it's not quite as heavy either.

 

"This will have to do." I say, weighing the sword and swinging it around.

 

"I wouldn't complain about a perfectly good blade coming for free."

Mid flight, something grabs you from behind whilst diving towards the ground.

 

Noticing the vines, the guard teleports in to Ihra's room instinctively, surveying the damage.

 

The walls and ceiling are pretty much covered in vines. They seem to avoid creatures, but look for openings.
Except that one which is now trying to grow into the wall.

 

The guard, unsure of what to do, runs over to Ihra's curtains and opens her windows. A cool breeze lethargically enters the room, countered by the warm coals in the fireplace.

 

The vine stops trying to burrow into the wall and starts growing out the window.
...the light crystal is already covered in vines.

 

The guard walks over to Ihra's bed, checking Ihra to make sure she's free of harm.

 

She's a bit pale, color slightly faded on her wings.

...the necklace is gone.

 

"Whatever you say."

I take a swing at the dummy.

"Say, were you part of the attack that Entropy lead that almost got him erased?"

 

Clean cut.
"Nope. My regiment stays in the palace."

 

"Ah I see." I move on to a tougher dummy and take a swing at it.

 

Another clean cut, but with that much windup, you'd never land the hit in a real fight.

 

The guard hastily looks around the room and the vines in search of the necklace.

"This isn't good," The guard mutters to himself, "The queen will have my head if I don't find this necklace."

 

OOC: He's not going to find it unless he goes to where the group fought the beast

It's pretty clear it's not in this room.
It's also pretty clear that the vines aren't just in this room either.

Their growth is slow but consistent.
