Build Mega-build Or Application Build - The Ultimate Question

So, recently I discovered I could not apply to Wynncraft Build Team with a mega-build like the one I'm doing, should I put it on stand-by to make an application or not?
Here is a pic of the megabuild I'm making:

And, since I'm planning on applying with two builds, here is one of them, which is ready (other one wasen't started yet):

Personally, I think you should keep working on the first build as is. It's a very nice build and I'm sure people would appreciate your work.
I guess it is kind of a bummer to find that all your work won't really be able to be used for something, but it's up to you if you want to repurpose it

 

Why can't you apply with your megabuild? Just make an imgur album of all your good builds for the application.

 

To have a higher chance, people may only post imgur albums that contain work styled in a rustic way. This would show the Wynncraft build team they could be useful in projects becuase they have a good feel for the style.

Bit of a long answer, but I hope you get what I'm saying.

Hmmm, wonderful builds! 94/100 on the first because of proportion issues, the second one is better but terrain would be nice.
If you want to apply for builder you should be good with structure terrain and organics. Try to show ability in all 3.
Organic builders have a high demand from what I've seen.
Btw, I'll be applying to the bt due to popular demand as well, I have something glorious in the works that I plan to release for my 1 year anniversary on the forums

 

I've seen a couple posts on these two now, and feel like making a comment. :P
The first one intrigues me. Although the part that ruins the feel for me is that the image seems a little blurry? Possibly from shaders? I would love to see it in a daylight context so I can grasp what lovely detail you have placed within.

As for the second one, it looks lovely from the front. Although from recollection from earlier posts, I'm left wondering what the purpose is on the detail at the back of the building? I remember seeing a huge cylindrical-type shape that kind of reminded me of a form of spaceship or magical item, but I'm unsure what it is. Is there a backstory to it? :)

Edit: Re-looked at it-- is it a portal? :) It sure sticks out a great deal. ^p^

In the application process, it is mentioned that you include pretty much your vast skills as a builder. Surely they would appreciate seeing such a potential, on top of the rustic style they are looking for. Finish it up a little bit more and I'm sure it will be a lovely addition to your application. :)

 

You've definitely inspired me to begin a megabuild. So far I only have the structure/layout. Wish me luck =]
