Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

Strangely, the infusion does nothing, and enhances Shadow Katana a whole lot.

Stephanie jams her chainsaw into one of the beast's mouths after dodging one of its pecks. She grabs onto its neck and starts cutting it's eye.

"I fancy some chicken legs for dinner." I say, before leaping up and cutting one of the beast's legs in half.

A mass of tentacles heads toward Stephanie, who cuts them down with her chainsaw. The tentacles keep coming, and eventually one snags her around the neck, holding her up.

"Ack-Help!" Stephanie screams, struggling to try and cut the tentacle.

I try to fly up to Stephanie, but a trio of tongues grabs me, tying my legs and holding my arms out; slowly dragging me to a mouth on the underside of the beast.

 

"My speed of attack as well as having more force and strength in each attack without pressuring my sword to the point of breaking it."

"Well, I'm gonna tell Ruby and Ragnyon about the knife." I say to Reed, before taking flight and landing in front of Ruby and Ragnyon.

"Hey guys, you know my other body found Bane in the palace library and he's now attempting to break it. He was able to make a dent in it, if anything." I say casually.

 

I say, "Alcohol? I've heard of that. Please can I have a bottle of pure alcohol?"
"Is that a good idea?"
"No, that's why I'm asking."
"Don't blame me then. Please can I have grape juice?"

"Hehe, good idea. Umm... how's your flying?"

"Not yet. The first time I saw her, she didn't like me very much. The second time, I forgot. And this time, she went to the Shadow Realm. I'll consider it next time."

"Okay. Why did you rig this one with something to tell you that it was being read?"

 

"A bottle of alcohol and grape juice. I don't doubt your ability to withstand the negative effects of the alcohol." The large Shadow says, turning to leave.

"Wait! Um...could I get one of those assistants? No preference on gender." Katie asks.

"Very well." The large Shadow says, leaving.

"Why do you want one of those?" Abigail asks.

"Well...you two had one and I thought I'd have one." Katie says.

 

"I find it great to have someone help you eat. Mainly because I can't remember how to."
"If you remembered, then that alcohol will be enough to make you forget..."

 

Artemis and Katie chuckle lightly.

A few Shadows walk over to the table, carrying more platters. They lay them down in front of each person, taking off the lids and revealing the drinks everyone wanted.

"Apple juice for Artemis, lemon sorbet and water for Katie, whiskey for Abigail, grape juice for...Idala, was it? And pure alcohol for..." the large Shadow seems to have forgotten your name.

The Shadows leave, bar one, who remains by Katie. She takes a spoonful of Katie's lemon sorbet and feeds it to her, much to the appreciation of Katie. Abigail pours herself a glass of whiskey and downs it.

 

"Eras, thank you."
He downs the whole bottle of alcohol.
Idala facepalms before sipping her grape juice.

 

"Ah, Eras, of course," The large Shadow says, turning to Idala, "If you don't mind me asking, is your friend, Eras, capable of withstanding the effects of alcohol?"

Abigail pours herself two more glasses of whiskey, downing both.

"Abigail, calm down. Don't drink so much." Artemis says, concerned.

"I'm not drunk yet, therefore, I must drink more." Abigail says, choosing to down the rest of the bottle instead of pouring herself another glass.

 

"I haven't seen him do this before... I hope so."
I seem to be smiling a lot. Not a 'thanks' smile, but more of a 'Ihra on honey, seeing a castle and having Miznyana in axe form' smile.

 

"Pure alcohol is poisonous, you know. It can make you blind if you're not careful." The large Shadow says.

"H-Hey Eras...wass your deel? I'vvvee barley talked to yooou." Abigail asks drunkenly.

"Ugh, Abigail, you're incredibly drunk. I suggest you lie down before you do anything idiotic." Artemis says, concerned and annoyed.

Katie seems to be too pre-occupied with being fed sorbet to notice what's going on. That, or she just doesn't care.

 

"He'll be resistant to that... it's-"
"HEY YOU LOT! STOP STANDING THERE AND GET TO WORK OR YOU WON'T GET YOUR WEEKS PAY!"
"Yep, that's what I was worrying about."

 

"What?" Artemis asks, confused.

"Hey f*ck you, you can't...TELL! Me what to dooooooo!" Abigail says drunkenly.

"Um, excuse me but you're not really in a position of power over us," The Shadow feeding Katie says, "I...I don't mean to be rude, but only the king and queen can tell us what to do, amongst our superiors too."

 

"H-HOW-W D-DAR-RE Y-Y-YOU! N-NOB-BOD-DY S-STOPS W-WORKING *hic* AT-T T-THE *hic* SHR-ROOM F-FACT-TOR-RY!"
"Wherever he's getting this from, I don't know what it is..."

 

"Shrooms? You mean Mushrooms? I don't think the consumption of hallucinogens is a good idea, Eras." Artemis says, still rather confused.

Abigail burps, and a large jet of fire bursts from her mouth.

"My word. That was quite the show, Miss Abigail." The large Shadow says, rather surprised.

"Yeah well...thass not the only...where...what?" Abigail asks drunkenly. She seems to be breathing fire with every word.

"This is why you shouldn't drink, Abigail." Artemis says, shaking her head.

 

*tap*
You've gained immunity to something.
"Playtime's over."
A collosal amount of electricity shocks the beast all at once. You two seem immune to the jolt.

With another tap of her staff, you two phase out of the beast's grip.

"Try the far right area, floor label 'G.' It'll help gauge your blade's limits."

Ragnyon looks confused.
"What?"
"I'm sure Mistress would be happy to hear that. Why don't you tell her?"

"It's passable... Why?"
-----
"Oh... You must've scared her then. Maybe after she gets back?"
-----
"The stupid thing is, I didn't."

 

The beast shrieks as it's hit with electricity, but manages to slice Stephanie with its wing as she falls. Stephanie gets hit quite far away, a visible gash on her dress.

"Hmph, time to get a little more intimate, shall we?" I say as I land, jumping up into the beast's mouth on its underside.

The beast eats me, yet seems to not be paying attention. It walks over to Stephanie, looking like it hopes to do the same to her. Stephanie struggles to get up.

 

Stephanie's wounds close, and Ihra hurls a numbing orb at its foot.

 

Stephanie manages to get up, but the beast pecks down on her. She manages to keep its beak from closing on her with her chainsaw, damaging the beak in the process, but the beast's tongue manages to wrap around Stephanie.

Shadow Katana bursts out near to one of the beasts legs, and cuts a hole around it. The leg falls, yet the beast manages to still stand. Blood pours out of the newly created hole.

 

Ihra makes Stephanie phase through the beast again.
"Well, let's go again."
Another shock immunity spell and another collosal shock to the beast.

 

The beast screeches in pain again, redoubling its efforts on Stephanie. The pressure becomes much greater on the chainsaw, and Stephanie barely has any time to get away before it reverts into a pen, and the beak closes on her.

The beast, now weaker than before, rears its head upwards. Stephanie's legs can be seen just outside of the beasts beak, before the beast quickly opens and closes its beak, and her legs disappear.

The beast turns its attention to Ihra, screeching. With Stephanie and I both within the beast, it looks a whole lot more intimidating; even with its charred feathers and missing and stump legs.
