"Where'd I go?" She utters, stretching.

 

Having heard noise, the guard opens the door.

"Ah, you're awake. You've been out for some time, about 3 and a half hours." The guard says.

 

"Well, we're in for a ride then. Also, can you handle the cold? I'm not used to it, but humans can adjust quickly. It'll be freezing there."

 

"Oh... That massage must've really been nice."

"Yeah, that's convenient. I can more than handle the cold."

I've stopped rubbing my sword, by now, I'm just doing random things with my hands.
"Can you check on Stephanie, if you don't mind, and if you know where she is? I'm a bit concerned."
I ask Reed.

 

"What is this madness..." I comment, before placing it back and pulling another book off the shelf.

"Oh, by the way, just like how Aj, Artemis, and Abigail's names start with an 'A', all the new Draconians' names start with an 'R'. Reed, Ragnyon, and Ruby. Pretty clever, eh? Perphaps this is some kind of curse or blessing?"

 

"Can't find her."

It's a similar story, but from a priest.
They were killed in a raid, last pages bloody.

I mumble.

 

OOC: Can you describe her please? As in if she has wings, her weapons, color, and other stuff I could get from just looking.

"So, are you ready to go? There's nothing left for me here..." I silently pay my respects to the good people who died here. I WILL avenge my people, even if it takes the rest of my life. I'll make the ones responsible pay for their foul deeds, I think to myself. I load my crossbow while I wait for the draconian to respond.

 

"Well then." I say, placing it back and grabbing another book.

My voice suddenly changes to a serious tone. "Continue threatening me and I'll sell both of you out." I say, gesturing to Ruby and Ragnyon. "Or we can drop the subject."

His wings are torn, leaving only the bone structure. He carries a staff with a purple crystal centerpiece, and it's too dark to tell the color of his scales or robe.
His blue eyes are glowing in the darkness.
"Yes, anywhere but here is welcome."

It's a journal with boring notes and boastful accounts of festivals.

The final few pages are panicked scribbles stained with blood.
"I never got to name a heir"
is the last thing written.

"Hey, you started it. I'm not doing anything until you do. Besides, it'd be a shame if I had prove to you that I can still melt both bodies from here."

I smile.

 

OOC: I thought you referred to Opal as a female, but I guess Opal is a male.

"Come." I make my way out of the village, making sure he is following close behind. I stay cautious, making sure he doesn't plan to harm me. After some traveling, I ask, "Shall we make camp here? I'm not sure about you, but I can only go one or two days before I need some sleep." I start to make the grass more comfortable.

 

OOC: I thought I said male

As Opal goes to sleep, I stay awake for about 30 minutes to make sure he doesn't plan on murdering me in my sleep.

 

Once he's out, he's out.

 

I reluctantly fall asleep, making sure my crossbow is near me.

 

When you wake up, it's the middle of the day.
Opal's collapsed a short distance away from you. A corpse is near her, and the bottom of her staff is bloodied.

 

OOC: Is it supposed to be I'm not supposed to know their gender? Since out just referred to Opal as a her.
I run over with my crossbow and sword. "Opal, are you okay? Were you attacked?" As they answer, I examine the dead, limp body on the floor.

 

OOC: I'm just tripping up on my own character. Please excuse my inability to remember over a dozen characters.
Opal is male.

There's signs of frostbite and electric shock on the corpse, and their chest is smashed in.
