Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

"You mean that stuff when we first met and I nearly got killed? That's fine, don't worry about it," I respond, "Of course, if the other Shadows were to find out about you almost killing me, they'd be incredibly angry. However, Stephanie and I's word goes. If I said 'Don't kill Ihra', you wouldn't be harmed."

"If you don't think you can trust us because we've been royality and haven't told you, I understand. We're the same beings, Ihra, nothing has changed," Shadow Stephanie responds, "Do you want a massage and a rest? You seem rather stressed. I think you need time to think things through."

 

"It's just a lot to take in... I've tried to tell you everything I know when you ask, this just kind of feels like getting blindsided by a lie..."
She takes a few breaths.
"I'll be fine. I have to be. I don't want to let down a king and queen."
She gives an exhausted smile, not realizing there's still honey on her tongue.

 

Shadow Stephanie returns to a more normal size, walking over to Ihra; her royal clothing still present.

"Come on, you can go finish your honey, then we can get massages and you can rest up if you need to." Shadow Stephanie says, taking Ihra's hand and leading her back to the dining hall.

I just sigh, lying back in my throne.

 

"I'm sorry, Aj!" She shouts back.


"I thought I emptied the jar. Is there more?!"

 

"It's fine." I say.

"There's more if you want more, or we can just go get massages." Shadow Stephanie says, approaching the doors.

"Hold on a moment." Shadow Stephanie says. She suddenly turns to her larger form, and opens the massive doors easily, walking through and turning back to her normal sized form.

 

"What's a massage? And where are we going?"

 

"A massage is...well, it calms your muscles, it's very relaxing," Shadow Stephanie says, "So, do you want a massage or more honey?"

Shadow Stephanie smiles, the jewels of her crown shining in the low twilight.

 

"I had a lot of honey. I think I'm full. I guess I'll try the massage thing."
Ihra's focus shifts on and off of the jewels.

 

"Excellent. Come this way." Shadow Stephanie says, heading in the opposite direction of the dining hall.

Shadow Stephanie walks with grace, and any Shadows in the hallways quickly move out of the way and bow when they see her.

 

"How big is this place?"

I suddenly ask Reed,
"Hey, is everyone alright? It's been a while."

 

I look around for any draconians that look like they have a map.

"I have absoloutely no idea."

 

"Yeah, I think so. Nobody's dead."

There's a wall mounted map.

"Then... nevermind."

 

"So, there's something else? Or is everyone still relaxing in the pool?"

 

"Now...where would my weapons be...?" I sift through the remains of the armory, looking for specifically my weapons, but taking any crossbows and swords in case I can't find them.

 

I look at the map to see where I am and how far the library is, as well as how to get there.

"What do you mean 'nevermind'?"

 

"Most of them went somewhere. Ruby's still in the spring and Ragnyon just isn't going anywhere on her own anytime fast."

You find a blade and a few bolts that fit your crossbow.
"They broke most of them. Hurry, you only have a few minutes. I'm a prisoner, too. I'll leave without you if I have to."

Turns out you're running on the opposite side of the palace.
It's not a long walk with the bracelet, though.

"I was going to complain about the lack of understanding you have with your other body. It's half stupid, half pitiful."
"Ruby, be at least a bit considerate..."
"Yeah yeah, whatever..."

 

"Alright. I'll ask them about it when they get back. Thanks."

 

Ehm okay... The broadsword, then? You could stand to say more."

"Whaaat."

"But we're not even here."

"Why dooooesss it matter which moountain?" He notices your blades. "Ah oooookay. Guessss put yoooou toooo rest." He grins, bringing out a mass of darkness, and his massive dragon whips it's bony tail at you. The Lares are a confusing mess of green, charging at you with only one emotion: rage.

 

I attempt to go to the library.
