Happened again this morning, my alternate account "_Executable" joined and was put in the fallback lobby, and couldn't join any worlds or switch lobbies. Relogging didn't help as the server kept putting me in the fallback lobby, so I couldn't play on that account for around 20 minutes, until it FINALLY put me in an actual lobby when I relogged.

While the fallback server is technically a bug, you can easily switch to the lobby with /servers, and /hub sometimes works.

Nope, /hub /server and /lobby all just give and error message in chat and do nothing on the fallback.

There's two versions, the newer one that doesn't use Java, and the old one. The older download is available for download via a hyperlink on the minecraft website.

I had random crashes in not-so-random locations before I got optifine. For example I would crash every time that I entered Thanos. My minecraft launcher said something about a problematic frame

These last few days have revealed some new devastating bugs to watch out for.

The dreaded skill point bug returns, with the added chance of your items not dropping on the floor!
Description: When logging onto a class, sometimes any accessories and armour pieces with skill point requirements will pop out of their slots. They will fill open slots in your inventory, but if your inventory is full, the items drop of the ground around you so you can pick them up.
Issue: When this bug occurs, items are sometimes not dropping as intended when the player's inventory is full, deleting the items from existence.
Explanation: We believe this bug occurs due to the server loading the player's inventory before skill points, so the server thinks you aren't meeting the items skill point requirements, and pops it off. The reason they are not dropping as intended is unknown, and so is the cause. The staff are currently looking into this.
Solution: There is no way to avoid the bug completely, but you can prevent item loss by always leaving enough slots open in your inventory to hold all the items that could possibly pop off when you log off. (At max, 8 open slots)

Description: When joining the server, instead of being taken to the normal lobbies, you might be taken to a "Fallback Server" (dubbed by the friend list's display of [Fallback]) which acts like the lobby, but with a few features disabled.
Issue: The player can not join any servers while in this fallback server, and cannot switch lobbies due to the player not being spawned with the lobby selector in their inventory, and /hub, /lobby, and /server being disabled, telling the player to "Look at the server log for more information." Relogging does not take the player to a different lobby.
Explanation: Currently, there is no explanation as to what causes this, especially due to the fact that the first appearance of the "Fallback Server" was only earlier this week.
Solution: If you log off and wait around five minutes or longer, the server will attempt to send the player to a new lobby rather than the fallback server upon the next login. You may still end up in the fallback server, in which case you should log off and wait a bit longer.

Description: The client crashes upon the Ninja's Shadow Clone spell ending.
Issue: This renders Shadow Close essentially useless.
Explanation: We currently have no information on why this occurs, and it only occurs with Ninja, not Assassin.
Solution: There is no way to avoid the bug other than not using Shadow Clone, unfortunately.

Description: When riding a horse or boat, the game dismounts you somewhere different from what the player sees on their client.
Issue: This can teleport the player to a completely different location, such as where they left from, or even into walls. Reports have even recorded leaving one city, reaching another, dismounting, and being teleported back to the first city.
Explanation: When you ride on the horse or boat, the server doesn't update your location, but you client allows you to move. When you dismount, the server thinks you are in two spots at once, and goes "Something is terribly wrong!" and teleports you back to your original location to avoid further issues.
Solution: The only way to avoid this is to not use horses or boats. However, bugs involving horses and boats seem to occur more often in Minecraft 1.9, so using 1.8 may limit the occurrences of these bugs.

Being timed out or "serialized" from the server randomly, while playing the game or even afking. Multiple cases have been reported, and there is no known cause or way to avoid the crashes.

Please do not do this. Directly connecting to one of our nodes is not the right way to solve the problem, and will only make it harder for us to balance players across the network.

The actual solution to this problem is to wait about an hour and try again. It happens rarely as the result of a glitch with how we handle players on the network. It should right itself after a period of time.
