It looks like Hryth is thinking about trying the hot spring but he decides against it.

 

The party relaxes in the hot spring, and time seems to become irrelevant as the warmth of the water soothes every muscle.

 

"That's neat! I can grow flowers. That's it."

I realize where I am. Looking around, I see my tribes treasures. The deserts have always been rich in silver. Ingots of the stuff are filling up countless chests. If could only be unlocked with 3 keys, one of which I possess. The other two are owned by my second in command, and the other buried under my house. Better that nobody has it than the enemy tribe have it. Maybe, given enough time, a master locksmith, and the proper tools, I could get a new key, I think to myself. I explore the mini-vault.

"Well, I don't think anyone will want to disturb a group with a gigantic dragon with them." Artemis says.

"Nor would they want to with a Shadow!" I say, offended.

"It's more first-glance, Aj. I'm sure you'll scare them off if you get close to them." Artemis says, smiling at me.

 

I try to wake up.

 

"It only hurts like hell."
"You mean melt like I do?"
"Yeah. Every night."
"May the stars have mercy on you..."

"You awake down there?"

 

"You melt? Don't you revert like Ihra?" Artemis asks.

"I can take on different forms, but it doesn't involve melting..." I comment.

"I thought you could only stay in Aj's form..." Artemis says.

"That's sort of like a default. Technically, I take on a different form when I possess people." I say.

 

"Eh? Well, that's good enough reasoning. I understand how you need some time to think by yourself. Toodles!" As you see me fly back to the tour, you remember the event of me badly hiding while you attempted to apologize to Stephanie.

 

I call out, "Yes! Who is it?"

 

"No. Just like Ruby, as she told me."

"Oh... uh... Opal. I was just wondering if you were okay..."

 

"Yes, I'm fine! Thanks for checking." I call out. Strange, I think. I don't remember knowing any people named Opal in my village. I hit myself in the head to try and wake up. After the unsuccessful attempt, I call out again. "Opal, could you...um...open the hatch? It's locked for some reason. Get my second in command, and dig up the key under my house." I insert my key into the socket.

I just pull out my sword and my cloth, and start mechanically rubbing the sword with the cloth.

 

OOC: I'd prefer it if you stated your action and left the result to me.
Though in this case, you're not wrong.

"No, sorry, just I wanted to see if there was anything left down there."

OOC: Unless Reed is using telepathic communication, it's impossible for him to be at the pool, and talking to me at the same time.

 

OOC: How far from the pool are you?
If it's any less than a few minute's walk, he can be at the pool and talk to you at the same time.
His claws are as big as the spring.

 

OOC: Well, it's more than a few minute's walk, but under that logic, all he needs to do it take a step.

"Thinking."
Pause.
"And cleaning my sword, I guess."
I say, turning the sword over.

 

"It'll pass. It always does."
He's still mostly transparent.
"You had no better choice."

 

"Yeah..."
Pause.
"Boy, isn't it funny. Make choices where you're trying to help everyone, and eventually life goes, 'Screw you'. Make choices where you're trying to hurt everyone, and life eventually goes, 'Screw you'."
I sigh.
"Maybe I'm just being to positive."
