Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

Ihra reaches for her staff, hesitates, then spits everywhere near it, leaving the staff lying in a crater.
...and then she retrieves it.

 

"Now I'm not sure about showing you Earth if Aj's going to be there. I don't know how he got all those 'Awesome' powers, but he's never been able to do that before." I say, biting into a burrito.

"Still warm. Tasty." I comment.

 

"Didn't Artemis just get back? I wanted to ask her something."

 

"Ask away." Artemis says, standing close to me.

Myria observes from a distance.

 

"Thirteen told me apples grow on trees, but I thought leaves grew on trees, and then he said they grew on special trees...

...how do they grow?"

Ruby waves at Myria from the lava pool.

 

"Well, apples only grow on apple trees, which are grown by planting apple seeds. Normally, these take many years to grow, eventually sprouting 'Blossom'. These are small flowers which need to be pollinated by bees. After this, the 'blossom' will turn into an apple, and ripen over time. This is meant to be eaten, as animals will eat the fruit, and the seeds will pass through their body, hopefully coming out further away from the tree so they may spread and survive as a species." Artemis says, growing a small apple tree and a few apples.

I summon a small jar and spoon in my hands, and remove the lid from the jar.

"Here, try this." I say, handing Ihra the jar and spoon. A viscous, golden-yellow substance resides within the jar.

Myria waves back, smiling.

 

Right before he does this, I duck and punch him in the gut.

I (DD) just shake my head.

 

"What was on that paper he gave you? I couldn't see it." Artemis asks.

 

"I dunno." I hand the "paper" to Artemis, but in reality it's actually a spell.
OOC: DD just grabbed the wrong thing

 

"A spell? Aj doesn't use magic though, why'd he give you this?" Artemis asks, "Hey, wait a minute, this paper is different too! What are you hiding?"

Artemis looks at you suspiciously.

 

"Eh? A spell? What are you talking about? This is the drawing he gave me!" I begin to eye Artemis suspisciously.

 

Artemis shows you the spell, "I think you gave me a spell. This doesn't look like a drawing to me." Artemis says, annoyed and suspicious.

 

"So that's why your world is made out of floating islands then?"

"Depends on when and where the children are born. Many children are born during wars or into lives they wouldn't want to be born into. But the problem is, these events bring people together. If the Hive Master didn't exist, you probably wouldn't be here now...
... thinking about this sort of thing feels strange."

We continue to fly back towards the group.
"I think we're almost there. Do you want to follow us or would you rather stay away for a while?"

"Only a signature...? That's strange..."
Arnold goes back down to where the book was originally and places the burnt copy (that was the one he found, right?) and the reprint (if it fits?) there.

 

"Still up for an apple after a burrito?"
I say, handing him one.

 

"Oh, yeah thanks. It's probably healthier anyway," I say, taking the apple and laughing slightly, "You want to try a burrito?"

I bite the apple in half.

 

"Sure, I'll try one. But just forewarning you, I'm not going to swallow it, I'm going to spit it out. I still don't have a digestive system."

 

"Ehhhhhh?! I must've grabbed the wrong one." I place the spell back and pull out the drawing, handing it to Artemis. "Feel free to do whatever you want to do with it. It's yours now."
OOC: Pretend the dialogue is color Ash Grey. I can't seem to get the colors yo work

 

I pass you a burrito, "As long as the taste is there, I guess." I say.

After looking at the drawing for a second, Artemis immediately puts her hand over her mouth, looking pale. A wooden bucket forms in front of her, which she quickly takes and pukes into.

"Artemis, what's wrong?" I ask, running over.

Artemis doesn't say anything, looking up weakly from her bucket and passing me the drawing.

I just stare at the drawing, a look of confusion and shock on my face.

"That's...kind of weird...but also kind of hot?" I say.

Artemis pukes again.

 

"I have no comments regarding this matter. Keep the drawing's infedelities far from me or my soul."
OOC: Again with the colors

 

I take a bite out of the burrito.
I then spit it out after about 10 seconds, and take another bite.
I continue to do this until the burrito is out of my hand.
