"We have two homes, one of which is easy to get to. Besides, Ihra and her friends need help. There's this hive master, Xlentia needs to be cured, the draconian homeworld needs saving. I'm sure we won't be able to do that from one place." I say.

"Do you...not want me around?" I ask.

 

"Why is it falling into Oblivion anyway? Is there something holding your world up which is growing weaker?"

"So who wants to kill Ihra? I heard something about a 'Hive Master'.

"No, I haven't seen a Lune. By transformation, do you mean into dragon form?"

OOC: But you said there wasn't an envelope on the reprint...

I was actually planning on some sort of plague in the Darklands but I then scrapped the idea. So I don't mind of the plague affects the Darklands.

 

"It's not that. Have you looked at yourself, your friends? You keep pushing on. You fight, you rest, you lick your wounds, and the cycle repeats. Maybe find a friend along the way. But have you looked at yourself? Have you looked at them? You're all exhausting yourselves, taking a heavier toll every time you beat another challenge. You use magic to heal your wounds, but I want to warn you; keep pushing and your party will be too weak to push further. You need to rest, I'm sorry. Your wounds... All of them. Physical, emotional, spiritual. The journey has been taxing. It's starting to show."

Ihra's a bit dumbstruct.

"Yeah; the Resistance. They've been fighting to keep the world afloat with their magic prowess. They're weakening, though, and the pull grows ever stronger over time."

"Yeah, there's some scary draconian who mind controlled almost everyone in our world. He's trying to kill everybody."

Well, then, pick an area in the Darklands if you'd like.

 

"Well...when Artemis and Myria get back, we were going to rest in a hot spring that Abigail and Katie were going to make..." I say trailing off.

I seem to become depressed, "We need to keep pushing...for Ihra's sake..." I say, sadness in my voice.

 

"You can't help me if you're dead! But... Not even sleep is helping me like it was... Maybe she's right. Maybe we do need to rest. We've lost, what? Sebastian, Rineth, Vei..." Ihra trails off.
"You need to keep pushing, yes. I don't want you giving up, but you're pushing too hard. What good will you be to her cause dead or heartbroken?"

 

"So...we just halt progress? Spend a few days relaxing?" I ask.

I think for a moment, before saying "Hey, why don't you come back to my world? Things are fairly calm there, and we could just relax at home, play video games, maybe go out and explore. It could be fun!"

 

"Is there something trying to pull the world into Oblivion or is that supposed to happen?"

"That's horrible! What would he even gain out of that..."

"Relaxing, sure, but it'd be better to just rest and keep low for a while. You realize how many things've been looking for an opening to lash out at you?"
"Maybe she's right... but what if we lose track of time and are too late?"
"I'm sure Aj can make sure you don't have that problem."

"Yeah... The Hive Master is."

"I don't know, but he has so many rules in place, it's like he's looking for an excuse to kill everyone."

You seem oddly unfamiliar with the rp, really...

• You've mention a 'blessing from the Light' and 'light powers' and didn't at all mention Luphyx.
• You have essentially the same weakness(es) as an existing character.
• You're using extremely vague terms in reference to the world (not that I blame you on this one, I try not to think too much about locations. Maps are confusing)
• You didn't answer Exvhius's simple questions about happenings in the RP so far.
  (They were Ihra's staff's name, Ihra's mother's name (hint: she's dead now... sorta), and the name of the fragment of greed, in case you've forgotten)

You don't necessarily need to be familiar. Especially if IC knowledge is limited, it's sometimes better not to know. But at least make a better effort. You should have knowledge of existing background bigger than what you're planning on adding, so at least have a vague idea of geography and characters so that an idea of where you are relative to the grand scheme of things is more evident.

Oh and since you know 'everything'...
What is the name of the recently re-discovered kingdom that was victim of an onslaught by the Lost Kingdom?
What is the super easy way to kill Ihra?
What is Artemis's father's name?
Who killed Lefayla (dealt the killing blow)?
Of Artemis, Abigail, and Aj, who is confirmed by the other two to have very soft skin?

"I'm all for resting and such, but...time travel? I promised I'd stop using the Watch of True Time ever since..." I pause.

"Ever since I killed Vei with it." I think, hoping Ruby picks up on the telepathic connection.

"Though, I guess step 1 is to have that hot spring." I say, trying to lighten my mood.

 

"Not use it, I mean look at it. You know, it's still a watch."
"I know what happened." She replies in shadow tongue.

"Hot spring? What's that?"

 

"Yeah, but I figured you meant a few days, not exactly an hour or two of rest." I say, before turning to Ihra.

"A hot spring is a large pool of heated water; its sort of like Abigail's lava baths, but with water instead. It's very relaxing, and we were planning on holding a large party of sorts when Artemis returned from her training; everyone was going to relax in a hot spring created by Katie and Abigail." I explain.

 

"Yes, I did. Can't you tally how many times the clock reads '12' or something? It's a clock..."

"That sounds nice. Can I come?"

 

"Well, you know, there's the sky. If it's been night time twice and the sun is in the middle of the sky, I think it's safe to assume it's been two and a half days. No need for specific times," I say, "But if you wanted to say, leave at 3:30pm some day, then I could use it."

"You're invited, Ihra. You've actually got a V.I.P. pass along with Virei'tus. It doesn't do anything, it just makes people feel special." I say happily.

 

"Doesn't your house have a roof, though?"

"Yay! But... what does 'VIP' mean?"

"Aj, you might want to just drop that point for now..."

 

"Yes...but I thought we were staying here. Are you really coming back to my world?" I ask.

"VIP means Very Important Person. You're a Very Important Person, Ihra." I say, smiling.

 

"The only impediment to Ihra being in your world is light, and she could just create some with her staff if it got bad. Not like she's been laying out in the sun more than usual recently. Anyhow, you made it sound like you'd rather go home for a bit. Or we could set something up here and use it as a base of operations. There are enough of us that we could have guards, people resting, people scouting, etc. Plus, we're near a forest, so that helps."

"Oh. Yay!" She hugs you.

 

"Oh, I didn't mean Shadow Home, I meant, Home Home. On Earth," I say, hugging Ihra back, "It's practically the same as this world, except more...modern? I guess?"

 

"That would be something we can't do, unfortunately..."

"What about making a home here? I could stop running around then!"
"Well, you haven't exactly been running... or moving around frequently..."
"But it gets cold at night!"

 

"Big mistake, friend." I say, spraying you with water.
