Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

The first drawing is of you hovering with your rocket boots in an open field on a sunny day. You hold your blade over your shoulder, and Nyre's crossbow is loosely held in your other hand. You're smiling.

The second drawing is of you holding a shotgun, wearing a leather jacket, standing beside a motorcycle. Half your face is melted away to reveal a rather scary robotic side, and a large explosion is going off in the background. Your expression is less than happy, and a speech bubble reads "You've just been terminated."

"No problem. It's pleasant to draw." Stephanie says, smiling at you.

 

"Not sure what exactly the second one is a reference to, but it's awesome nonetheless."
I say, smiling and standing up.

 

"Thanks! It's a reference to a movie with robots in, so I thought it would go well with you." Stephanie says, smiling. She seems rather happy to be around you.

Katie giggles again.

 

I lightheartedly look at Katie.
I look at Stephanie, and I hold my hand out, as help to get up.

 

Stephanie takes your hand, smiling.

 

I lift up my hand, helping her get up.

 

Stephanie gets up with your help, smiling at you.

"Thanks, Thirteen." Stephanie says, smiling.

After a moment, Stephanie realises she forgot to let go of your hand, which she quickly does.

"Oh, sorry...I got distracted, heh..." Stephanie says, embarrassed.

 

"Sorry for what?"
I say, putting my hands in my pockets.
"I don't think I know someone in the world who at least doesn't secretly appreciate the contact or affection of another. It's a nice thing, really."

 

Stephanie blushes furiously, "H-Heh...yeah..." Stephanie says, smiling.

Katie and I smile at the pair of you. Katie seems especially happy.

 

I walk away from Stephanie just a bit, giving her some space.
I smile back at you and Katie.

 

"Um...I think I'm going to do some more drawing...come and get me if you need me!" Stephanie says nervously, smiling and walking back to the tree she sat under.

Stephanie takes out her pencil and sketchbook, and starts drawing again.

I wink at you, giving a smile that would say "Good job."

 

Thanks. It's pretty easy to make someone feel good. She's feeling better, I'm feeling better, and you two are in ecstasy.
I slowly mouth to AJ.

 

Katie totally ships you with Stephanie
I mouth back.

"Fair point."
Pause.
"You ever going to come out of that bracelet?"

"I'll do my best."

"That's... that's... that's just crazy!"

"Err... right. Um... the sun's starting to go down. Might I... tap your shoulder real quick?"

Emily is holding the burnt copy and the reprint, holding them out towards you.

"Well, if you had the money, getting some new clothing and working on reducing that accent, I think you could convince the army to rally a force big enough to wipe them off the map."
He hesitates a bit.
"Though, I can't blame you. I hate hearing so many bad things about my tribe, but... I know they're true. Part of me wants to stop them, so I'll look into putting a good word into you at the guardhouse."

 

"I have done. It takes a while to form a new body, you know. Or rather, my old body, but technically new." I respond.

 

"There were so many logical fallacies in that statement I'm just going to weed through your mind to understand that."
Pause.
"Okay, then. A simple 'yes, I already have' would have sufficed."
