Guide Mana Regen Mage Build

Notice: I don't currently own the Hive gear needed for the build so...yeah...

Hi everyone! This is my first build guild so please don't be too hard on me.

So first off the helmet that is being used is third eye. With its mana regen and spell damage it makes for a pretty sweet piece of armour. This particular one has 3/4 mana regen, which is halfway between min and max. Also it's 5 off max spell damage!

The chestplate is going to be Aquarius. Mine has 7/4 mana regen which comes in handy. Plus a little bit of extra spell damage never hurt anyone.

For the pants Crystal is the obvious choice. With its nice buffs to walkspeed and mana regen it's the best option.

For the boots I chose Capricorn. Now I know what you're thinking (or I think I know what you're thinking, otherwise I'm wrong) Memento is the better choice! However Memento has negative life steal which isn't very helpful. Capricorn provides a lot of little benefits that come in handy such as walkspeed and mana steal in addtion to the mana regen.

For the first ring Moon Pool Circlet is a nice option. Buffing mana regen and intel.

The next ring is Raging wind. This ring is just there to provide more dps which inturn boosts total spell damage output.

The brace is going to be Squid Anklet. It has 2/4 mana making it a nice touch.

For the amulet you would need the Royal Stormy Amulet. It provides mana regen and other nice buffs. I heard that it's possible to get a 2/4 mana regen one but I haven't see one.

For the main weapon I would choose the Hive Infused Wand. It boasts a high dps and great mana ids. The main down side is that it's lvl min is 100. Good luck hitting that.

The secondary weapon is lament. This is a healers wand not meant for battle but it's still good to have. The biggest downside is the fact that it's so hard to obtain.

Assuming everything is maxed, these are the mana regen buffs.

Helm : 4
Aquarius : 7
Crystal : 3
Capricorn : 2
Wand: 2
Brace: 2
Ring : 2
Ring: 0
Necklace: 1

All of these add up to *23* mana regen, which is useless. 20, being the max storage while it's highly likely you will not spam enough meteors in a matter of 4 seconds. I would suggest to kick out the crystal or aquarius for accessories for some spell dmg or other utility items.

 

Can i just say.... Capricorn is not for mage mana regen. Momento is better, it can go 4/4

what is your thunder def with this? ._.

 

This is a almost an exact replica of my Intel/Agil mage build, which adds up to about 19 mana regen :P, but at the same time it is decent with melee

The thing is that moon pool circlet only provides 1/4 mana. I'm using only one. Also I could sometimes be using lament instead of hive which brings me to 20/20.

But if I use memento I would have extra mana regeneration which is useless.

 

u can also get more spell dmg w/ momento

 

That may be true but capricorn provides mana steal instead of extra usless mana regen.
