Pigman Lore (do We Know Yet?)

So there was a thread started by @WeakCoward and it discussed the lore and origins of were the pigman come from.

There have been many different point of view voiced, and I am writing this to sum up what has been said.

Nether Theory:

Many want to point at the portal for the origins of the pigman, as in vanilla mc that is where they are from. But the hole in this point is who did all the pigman get to their current locations. They are in Mount Wynn, the Pigman Ravines along with Pigmen Lords, and a cave along the emerald trail. Why did the go here away from the portal? Why did they move to where they are now?

Lightning Theory:

You know all those boars or pigs you kill in the start? They re-spawn into life and get struck with lightning while being born turning them into the zombies they are today. But how often do you see lighting strike in wynn? But then this can be countered with that it only needs to occur a few times and then procreation takes over. (.-.) Still not the strongest idea.

Corruption Theory:

This idea that pigs were turned into pigman by the dark force of corruption. But then how do explain their appearance in gavel? Decay? I don't personally like this idea, to many holes. Also all pigs in time valley (boars) can be corrupted into the creatures.

Grain of Salt Creation Theory:

Grian and Salted wanted them so ... Boom! They were made!

Conception Theory:

When a moma pig and a daddy man are in love the daddy man rides the momma pig and after x months comes the abomination we all know and hate. But how did the mom and dad excist

Ancient Race theory:

They have always existed and have been pushed out to areas that humans, villagers, and elves inhabit. Eh very plain.

Door of Time Theory:

They came from the Door and existed beyond the provinces before journeying to our lands.

Potato Theory:

The Potatos run everything that has gone down!!!

My theory:

Pigman are an Ancient race, old as the tribes in the Dernel Jungle and maybe the ancients themselves. Because of their odd lack of fur, they suck out warmth leading them to the enclose revines, caves and mountains. When the corruption was exposed to the wynn province and the decay in gavel, the weak minded creatures were easily corrupted to their undead state and their desire to attack the Furman warriors and humans in general. But they are still creatures with a since of home so they do not journey with out reason of their place of birth.

 

Grain? Who is that?

It's Grian, not grain.

The poll days Grain of Salt and it theory still says Grain of Salt creation theory.

I suggest calling it something different. Also, Grian is the head builder. Salted and his GM army are the ones making the lore.

 

.... I see nothing about the door's magic theory here, considering a decent amount of people agreed on it and made the most sense that whatever is caged within/keeping it in is affecting nature.

 

Well the nether is where you should find them. But in the nether we don`t see and pigmen. So my theory`s are that n1: They are dead pig who have been brought back to life with corruption, n2 they just didn`t want do die so they came back.

Why doesn't everything else come back to life because they didn't want to die?

 

Back when time valley was Pig Valley there was a weird cave where there was a bunch of weird shet

Like blood (red stone) on the floor and pig heads everywhere
