Relics Lore

Okay I know relics exist but what lore do they have behind them? Any? These sites seem to have some significance but why? What powers their magic? Why are they guarded by golems if golems are made by ***** (spoiler)?

 

I can only answer the last one. In the quest where they tell you golems are made by *****, they say those are improved models, so before that production started, there were probably golems powered by magic (in this case relic magic) which would explain why the golems at relics have elemental strengths/weaknesses.

 

The Relic Hunter is really the only person who talks about them, and he doesn't know much.

 

Maybe it has something to do with the sealed letters.

 

Thats what I started to think, like maybe Bob had something important occur at each location, or darkness (Corruption or Decay) manifested itself in usable magic

 

Guy's, it was the Ancients. The Ancients came from Dern. You know what that means...
