What's with the crap damage?

 

If it's a water build, have both on your hotbar. For farming, Etherial. Otherwise, I say Pure.

Note, I haven't played for a while.

If you think either of those deal too little damage, you are likely new and therefore low leveled enough to easily get one shot by a meteor from one of these. Quit looking at the base damage and look at the attack speeds and spell %

Well, maybe not the Pure, but definitely the Ethereal.

 

Well, Pure (And a lot of water wands) focus on Spell Damage, not Melee Damage.

 

Pure is going to multiply your spell damage by almost 500% versus 26%.
On the hand, attack speed is also a multiplier, "normal" is 1.7? very fast is two tiers up at 2.6?
There should be a stickied guide to all these multipliers and computations.
Pure wins. Though some things resist both elements, so keep Ethereal.

 

No one besides a full elemental defense build is eating 5 ethereal meteors with max str/int

I would use both. Pure for killing shit, and holding ethereal for the mana regen when you run out.

 

What level and build is your warrior?

Also, I'd definitely use Pure for killing stuffs, but you should get a higher spell damage Ethereal, yours is way below average (around 31 I think) and 39% (max)

Ethereal. The only reason pure was ever good was because of a glitch that got fixed. It's horrible now. Use Ethereal.
