In my opinion, getting permanently banned for spamming is a bit harsh. At least give me a week long mute or ban but a permanent ban? No.

 

Before this may become the gift that gives twice if you get a mod irritated enough, was the ban for spam your second in-game ban? If so, strike two, your out, that's life. Were you banned by an admin? If so, strike 3, your out, that's life. If it was your first ban by a mod, it's permanent, no matter what it was for, unless you successfully file a ban appeal. Continued discussion of anything else about it definitely belongs in this thread.

Now, if I remember correctly, you were a pretty decent person on the forums, so, my advice, if this was your first time, is to beg and plead with the mod that banned you, if it was a mod, ask politely, admit that you were an idiot, promise to never to it again, and don't do it, or any other banable offense, ever again. Now, if you were warned before you got banned, well, put on your big boy pants and go do something else, is my best guess. But if you want to test the mod's limit of irritation, keep bringing it up in places where it shouldn't be.

 

I've been banned twice: downloading the map and spamming. I just think that because its a chat related offence I should be given a chat related punishment.

 

I'm done. I'm through. You knew when you got banned, and unbanned, the first time, that Number 2 would be your last. On to another subject, because this one's dead.
