Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

Stephanie shivers, "It's strange. I'm sort of used to having Aj empower me, but when someone else does it...it feels weird." Stephanie says, before glancing at Artemis.

"Well, at least she seems alright." Stephanie says, smiling at Artemis.

 

"Try not to be confused too much. I can't block your view of the physical world, but the spirit plane is... A lot nicer for me than the physical world is."

 

The tendril following Abigail isn't affected at all by the fireball.
The tendril following Katie is trapped in the ice... until it disappears entirely and reappears back at the aura and starts moving back to the pool.
And the one heading towards Artemis stops but stays where it is.

OOC: When someone hasn't appeared for a while in the rp, then they have moved away from the main group for some reason. Knew it.

The one following Ragnyon starts examining her.
The one which was heading towards Virei'tus is... well, smitten? It seems 'smited' or 'smitted' does not exist...
Another starts to go towards Virei'tus.

One reaches Aura and Idala and starts examining them.

"I... uh..."
"Since when did you start attacking towns again? I thought you stopped that."
"Since I saved Fellak from that Infernal Beast."
"WHAT?!"
"It was making its way towards the palace. Then I stopped it and started heading towards where Idala's figure was. Then she was fine, so I went this way towards yours. I didn't realise-"
"It's fine... I guess."

"Still, she is a powerful healer. Though I don't know what Ruby would need. Hythania specialises in potions."

 

"Communication with those who still have something to do; and sight into their realm," Stephanie says, "I understand Artemis' scarce use of her powers with death; its unfair for spirits to be dragged into circumstances they don't want to be in. The spirits in my totems are there because they want to be."

Abigail suddenly divebombs toward the ground, a lava pool appearing below her. She dives deep into the lava, hoping to lose the tendril in the fiery depths. Artemis' necklace lets out a powerful pulse, destroying the tendril near to it.


"What the hell are those things?" Abigail asks, her face lit up by the river of magma.

"I don't know; but I don't trust them," Katie replies, "I hope we're deep enough so they can't find us."

 

Ragnyon pokes at it, nervous.

Virei'tus blasts the next tendril as well.

Rina holds her lance, scared.
"I'd know your face anywhere. Why...?"

"Ruby needs... just about everything. She has no blood. That machine keeps mana flowing through her veins so she can stay alive. She'd need a lot of blood. A whole lot."

"Strange. I would think I could see them, in that case."

 

Stephanie summons a small idol in front of her, the idol bearing a smiling expression. Ragnyon and Stephanie can both see a spirit attached to the idol.

"If I focus, I can sometimes see into other planes of reality without assistance. It's usually just easier to ask Aj though, since he can use his shadow vision to see on multiple planes," Stephanie says, "I've created helmets, glasses, amulets and multiple other things to help me channel my power."

Stephanie summons a crystal helmet in her hands, which she puts on; focusing her power. Upon raising her hand to the idol, it begins to float off the ground; the spirit seems fine with it.

 

"Odd, though impressive. Quite the friends you have, Ihra.

...uh...

...her staff's just lying here."

 

"Where'd she go?" Stephanie asks, picking the staff up using her telekinesis.

 

The tendril just goes through the lava and starts to follow Abigail through it.
Another tendril soon replaces the one destroyed by Artemis.

The tendril soon stops examining her and moves away.
Another tendril moves towards Virei'tus. It seems they are either oblivious to being blasted away or they don't want to leave without examining him.

"Umm... Eras, can you help?"
"You started it. Maybe if I'd known beforehand, I might have been able to stop you."

"So we'd just need to replace her blood? Though of course, I think she would need a specific kind of blood... and I don't know where that could be found."

 

It only goes arm's length off the ground before becoming too heavy to lift.
Stephanie can see her spirit sleeping on the ground, holding her staff.

 

Katie screams, noticing a tendril rising from the river of magma.

"STAY AWAY FROM HER!" Abigail shouts, extending her claws and putting herself between the tendril and Katie. She lowers her visor, locking on to the tendril.

"Agh...my head..." Stephanie says, dropping the staff and taking of her helmet; rubbing her head in pain.

"H-Huh? Ihra's right there; at least her spirit is." Stephanie says, confused.

 

It gets smited again.

"You... Why us? You remember me, and my sister, don't you?"
"Who?"
"Aria, I'm sorry, but this is better for your safety."
"Wha-AAAAaaaahhhhh..."

Rina pushes Aria off Claire's back, into the ocean.

"Correct. I hope you can succeed; help with that would be greatly appreciated."

"Is she asleep?"

 

"Yeah, she seems to be." Stephanie says, summoning a heart-shaped phial and drinking the red potion contained within.

 

"Well... That's weird."

 

"Where did her body go?" Stephanie asks, looking around for any signs of a body getting dragged, or any lingering traces of magic used for teleportation.

 

There are none.
She's just cloaked.

 

Stephanie walks over to Ihra, attempting to touch her to see if she's simply an illusion, "Hey, Ihra, are you there?" She asks.

 

She jolts awake, cloak breaking.
"HiwhatI'mawakewhat?!"

 

"Oh, you're back on the physical plane. I was worried; you were invisible and only your spirit was showing." Stephanie confesses, slightly embarrassed.

 

"I wanted a nap; I slept horribly last night."
