Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

"There's that part of me which feels like dying, but..."
He disintegrates...
... and reforms a few feet away.
"Though it would be interesting to see what dying could do now..."

 

"Oh boy. This is why you don't go with your strongest attacks first."


The legions of draconians show.
"Correct. Get them!"

 

The jet of flame misses Arnold because he reformed a few metres away.
"Well this is interesting. But there's one problem."
All of them feel a presence attacking them.
"If I can't see you, I can just sense you."

 

I whack Arnold as hard as I can with Shadow Katana, a massive force exerting onto him.

"I have the perfect solution for that sir!" Stephanie shouts.

One of the totems switches around. Each head on it spins around to a different one with a different expression. Arnold suddenly feels dazed and confused.

Abigail arcs the jet of flame towards Arnold, "Not so fast!" She shouts.

The ice continues to grow, and a pair of icy legs and half a torso is visible.

Artemis fires a trio of poison arrows, before putting a hand to her head. The arrows begin to fly around in the air, homing in on Arnold.

 

Ghosts start appearing around Arnold.
"This will be interesting..."

A few ghosts run to intercept the arrows and the jet of flame.
Another ghost takes the full force of the shadow katana. Arnold is hit anyway though.
"Urgh... I..."
Arnold suddenly seems to recover.
"You forced me to do this..."
Idala seems to be possessed again.
Hythania runs to her but then takes the full force of a blast of soul magic.
Hryth starts floating towards her but it seems that Aura was similarly affected, as she knocks him backwards with a gust of wind.

 

Artemis carefully steers the arrows out of the way of the ghosts, but one gets intercepted anyway. The jet of flame just burns through the ghosts, leaving nothing behind.

"Crap..." I say, looking at Idala.

I grab Hyrhania and Hryth as they get blasted backwards, carefully putting them on the ground.

It seems the ice structure has fully formed. A large Ice Katie comes to life, picking up Katie and 'eating' her. Katie controls the larger, icier version of herself from within, charging at Arnold.

The totems sink into the ground, emerging around Idala. They bear tortured faces, and Idala starts having nightmarish, horrific visions; corrupting her mind.

 

A dozen draconians rush at Ihra and Ragnyon. A barrier stops them, but not for long.

 

I switch my attention to the draconians.

"Ever watched Godzilla?" I ask, before stomping down hard with my foot, hoping to crush the draconians.

 

"Hu-"
You kill four.
They're rending you with a myriad of claws and weapons.
Sgavrinn tries to escape the battlefield, but two Rineth-sized dragons circle him, slowly drawing closer.

 

"Itsa me! A gigantic freaking Shadow!" I say in an italian accent, jumping up and stomping down with both feet.

I turn my focus to the dragons, "Thank god, I thought there wasn't going to be a challenge." I boast, before trying to slice one of the dragons in half.

Artemis begins firing a barrage of poison arrows towards the dragons, and Stephanie prepares some brown and light grey crystals.

Stephanie's crystals turn into sharp earthen spikes, and get propelled by a large blast of air towards the dragons, "I think it's time we got to the point." Stephanie quips.

 

"Alright then."

I'd teleport to Faelar's mansion in Solignis.

"Uhm you'd... Not slaughter us all? Those blades are pretty chill, too."

 

They avoid the attacks and tackle Sgavrinn midair.

The writing on the note seems to change.

"You do realize I myself can't kill you, right? You just lost your cannon fodder to someone who's already dead."

 

"Sgavrinn!" Artemis cries, looking toward me desperately.

"Alright, time to get serious." I say. A large pair of shadow wings grow from my back, and I start flying. The sheer force of the air disturbed by my wings causes strong gales below.

I fly towards the dragons and attempt to slam into one, trying to grab it in the process.

 

I reread the note.

"So now the dead are coming back to life? Cool. I totally believe that."

 

You grab it out of the sky. Sgavrinn is released, but still falling. Ragnyon's snatched by a few other draconians and they break for a portal with her in tow.

Ihra axes three, then tries to cut off the portal.

"Faelar,
I didn't mean to cause as much trouble as I did. Maybe those who hated me and my kind were right. It won't matter in a moment; I hope one of my blades is an acceptable token of apology.

"You can kill me and I'll just keep coming back. Killing a corpse doesn't work that well."

 

"Arnold? What the hell are you doing here?!"

"What are you all doing here?! What?!"

 

"Attacking. You were right. Good job."

 

OOC: Where are Ragnyon and Ihra?
"Yet this was a pre-emotive strike that I didn't advice for. Ugh. Well, you have the army."

 

Ragnyon is getting dragged to a portal while screaming and trying to thrash about, but really just weakly flailing. Ihra's trying to wrestle down those dragging Ragnyon to the portal, but she's kind of little and is failing.

"He's tired. He just spent his power on Arnold, just like we planned."

 

"Impressive planning. Well, if you don't mind, I'm going to help the other team for today. When this battle is over, you can expect me back on your side again. After all, I have to look like Im really on your side. I just have to fake it." A vine grabs hold of Ragnyon around the leg and starts trying to pull her out.
