"Very similar to Artemis, except maybe a little more ego and a lot more joy in her treasures."

Sgavrinn props Ihra upright.
"It was a bit dark, thanks."
Ragnyon stumbles back into the pool, then crawls out, looking embarrased.

 

"Normal jewels and other treasures are fairly useless. They're just items to be exchanged for other items. If you hoard them, then they serve no purpose; it's better to construct something with them or give them to the poor." I comment.

A pair of yellow crystals start spinning around Ihra, providing light.

I chuckle slightly at Ragnyon's antics.

 

@Exvhius, my last quote.

 

"I'd say she's constructed an impressive bedroom, in that case. I think they're just for her enjoyment."

Ragnyon looks bitter, but gets to her feet (eventually).

"Thanks for the staff, though." She mutters.

Oops.
You two are where the group was pre-teleport.

"What, another freak screaming 'this isn't my final form?' Please, that's cliche by now."

 

"Sorry." I apologise to Ragnyon.

Katie coughs, regaining consciousness.

"Welcome back to the world of the awake, Katie!" Stephanie says happily.

"Th-Thanks. I feel better...but my side still sorta hurts." Katie says, sitting up slightly.

"You've got most of your blood back, and the wound is about half as bad now." Artemis says, smiling.

 

"I understand... It's not easy like this, though."

Ihra hugs Katie.

 

OOC: That was on the Brisingr-Darklands border, right?

"No, this is my final form. It just hasn't fully 'formed', as some might call it."
A few ghosts appear out of the ground.
"Oh, did I mention that I am a necromancer?"
The ghosts hold various weapons: axes, swords, hammers. Lots of different weapons.
They all charge at Virei'tus.

If Aria and Rina are awake, Eras says, "Since they nobody seems to be coming right now, we should probably go to Runetrel."

 

"I'd offer to empower you, but I think I can do more for everyone in this form." I say.

Katie flinches, "Ow, that kinda hurts...quite a bit, actually." Katie says, giving Ihra a pained look.

"She still has an open wound, it's fairly closed now, though." Artemis explains.

 

"Cute. Free shot, come on."

Aria's still asleep amidst Claire's feathers.
"Well... I guess she'll wake up mid-flight. Let's go."

"You already tried that. I'll be fine."

Ihra steps back.
"Sorry... I forgot."

 

"It's fine; we all do sometimes." Katie says, smiling at Ihra.

A blue glow surrounds the lower half of Katie, and the vines reform; winding around Katie's legs. It seems her left leg is fine, due to the cut being on the right side of her tail.

 

One ghost blasts a jet of flame at Virei'tus. Another slams a sword into the ground in a similar way to Arnold, causing a shockwave of air to move towards Virei'tus. A third slams its axe down towards him.
More start creating a circle around Virei'tus.
Arnold starts to chant. Runes start appearing on the ground and in the air around him... and also on the ground in places nearby as well.

I fly into the air and fly south-east/east (depending on where the group is, I think No Mans Land, so probably east) towards Runetrel.

 

Ihra cringes, then tries to help heal Katie.

The wisp isn't affected.
"Please, you're making a fool of yourself."

 

After a while, the vines start to unwind. The wound seems to have healed completely.

"Thanks, Artemis, Stephanie, Ragnyon and Ihra," Katie says, smiling, "I really owe all of you one."

"I'm glad to see you're alright now," Artemis says happily, handing Katie a cup of nature elixir, "This should give you some energy."

Katie gets up, sipping the nature elixir. She smiles at Ihra.

 

"Hold still," Ragnyon says from the pool.
"The physical wound is gone, but there's still damage."
Her spectral form seems to be doing something with Katie's soul.

 

Katie seems rather unnerved. My eyes glow, and I watch what Spectral Ragnyon does.

"This feels really weird..." Katie says.

 

Ragnyon removes an odd, flickering object from Katie.
"Sorry, but that. That was... It would hve slowly killed you. That cave-in wasn't accidental."

 

"What do you think caused the cave in? I saw it as I swam past, but it was just rock and blood." Stephanie asks.

"What's that object, Ragnyon?" I say, going down on one knee. I'm barely at a sociable level, though I'm closer to the ground.

 

"It's a spent spectral bolt with a siphon. It's fading now that I removed it, but someone was trying to relieve you of your soul."

Ihra's jaw drops.

 

Katie almost faints, "What...who...why?" Katie manages to say, stumbling around. A few vine hands sprout from the ground, helping Katie stand.

"Looks like I need to keep an eye on the other layers of reality, then; if we have people trying to suck the souls out of others." I say, my eyes glowing a little brighter. I keep an eye on the spiritual layer of reality, the spectral bolt a little clearer to see.

"Do you know who could have shot it?" Artemis asks, concerned.

 

"No idea. I was never weaponized like most other draconians."

Ihra looks saddened.
"I hate to say it, but I think it may be safer if Katie went home. I didn't mean to drag her into this much."
