Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

"By chance were you on sour terms with Aj and his crew? I told him that he was jumping to conclusions with you, though it seems to me that you're in an extreme neutral position. It's strange that you call an attack on us, then warn us about it. It's like you're helping both sides, yet you're also against both sides. Your ways intrigue me."

 

"Yes, and I still am."

 

OCC: I'd assume the wisp is gone or something and the group moved? I kinda don't have time to read 400 replies rn.

(Should I do encounters or should be just assume Vei is killing everything for now?)

It looks like Vesius' blades are laying on the ground near a sheet of paper.

Vei takes a step back from her murder spree to get another look at her surroundings.

 

I go to examine the paper and blades.

Vei's standing in a clearing in front of large wall made of spiked pieces of wood. There's a gap in the wall leading into another massive clearing, where people seem to be gathering weapons from various tents, giving orders, or fleeing into the background. It's snowing rather harshly, restricting vision by a lot.

Two people teleport into sight, both with white hair and pale skin. One morphs into a large red dragon speckled with flecks of gold, while the other turns into a copy of Vei.

 

The paper is in unreadable handwriting; it's not a language you can read.

Touching the broadsword seems to bend the writing to something comprehendable;
"Sorry I had to go so suddenly. Give these to Faelar, tell her she won't need to worry about my antics anymore. Keep one for yourself if you want to study it; I hear your blacksmiths think they're unparalelled.

"You monsters."
She gives a taunting gesture to the two shapeshifters.

 

OCC: Faelar is a guy lol. Faelynn is- wait cough. No more characters I swear to god.

Reflet takes the papers and blades and looks at her
surroundings.

"Really now? The only monster- the only murderer here is you. You killed so many in a few seconds. I've only ever killed one, it'll be two now." A voice would seemingly echo from nowhere.

There'd be a kind of buzzing in Vei's mind, and the Vei clone would turn into Ihra.

The red-gold dragon dives at Vei, breathing a golden fire that singes the snow off of the ground through most of the clearing.

 

OOC: Vesius wasn't aware.

You're just in the middle of...

...well, a lot of nothing.

"Kill me? I'd mark your end on my blades, but I'm afraid immortals already took all the room. Furthermore, I know what you had to do for that power. Don't act like you're above me."
Her blades explode, radiating energy. She's primed to lunge at the Ihra clone.

 

Uhm so like... She'd... try to get back? Teleport back if that works?

"Ooooooh immortals. You kill the god of wine? Did he nearly choke you to death with a grape vine? Scaaaary." The Ihra clone would glance at Vei, showing a one second fear. "Also- you know about shape shifters? Cool, boss will want to know. Bye."

The Ihra clone flickers back into their original form and teleports away.

Which leaves you alone with the other shapeshifter, still a dragon pouncing at you with claws outstretched and breathing golden fire.

 

She knows Brisingr. Teleporting back to either Solignis or where Lyla is would be easy.

She swipes upward in its direction, projecting a wave of energy at the dragon.
"Last time I was close to death, it was... Damn this body's weird. Can't believe I let my daughter have that staff."

 

OcC: Didn't know if teleporting out of the void or wherever we are was possible.

Reflet teleports back to where Lyla is.

"Are you... Talking to me whilst trying to murder me?" A questioning voice would cut through the snowfall.

The dragon would turn into a dove in an attempt to pick up speed and dodge the energy wave. Should that succeed, they'd revert to a human and start hurling spikes of ice at Vei.

 

"Reflet?"
It seems that metal is being hauled back and a few draconians are working it into frames.
"Are those...?"

The dodge is successful.
"Not you specifically. Those are some unique last words, I'll give you that."
A few ice spikes are deflected by Vei's blade. The rest are cut by a larger energy wave.

"Come on, get smarter. For every one of you fools I kill, you're back at square one. Perfect your might or die to the embodiment of it!"

 

"Yes, they're Vesius's blades. He went unexpectedly and left them behind."

"Uhm... Okay."

Two walls of ice would appear on either side of them and Vei, pressing closer. They'd turn into a swarm of hornets that appear to be made of frost and would charge Vei, aiming to blind and sting.

(Frost hornets stings can freeze, on top of regular sting damage)

 

"What did the note say? Do you intend to honor it?"

Vei responds by slamming her twin-blades into the ground, creating a shockwave that ends the hornets on both sides.

The shapeshifter gets cut non-fatally by the energy wave sent after they shifted into human form.
"Ugh, really? It takes more to kill you? Fine, fine... Just for the record, know that nobody I've touched actually died to me. Their wounds killed them, mind you."

 

"It told me to tell someone they wouldn't have to worry about Vesius causing trouble anymore, as well as that I should give them the blades and possibly keep one for myself for studying. I'll probably do that, unless you have need of anything right this second."

The person just kind of stares blankly at you through your talking, despite the fact that they're gravely injured.

"Soooooo... That's cool and all but imma just leave and stuff. Chill, sis."

He'd attempt to teleport away.

 

OOC: Just wondering, where actually is Arnold and Virei'tus?

"Sadly, I'm not in a great form at the moment. I would say, "Come back later.", but I'll take my chances now."
He slams his sword-mace into the ground.

 

"No....I can....defend them..." Katie manages to say.

"You can't, Katie. Sometimes you need to accept you're wounded." Artemis says.

"I'm working on it." Artemis says, her vines glowing.

Katie looks rather pale, barely able to keep conscious, "It's fine...I can...still get...you two." Katie says through heavy breaths, trying to sit up.

"Katie, lie down. You're in no state to be doing anything." Artemis says, holding Katie back.

A splash comes from Katie's pool, and Stephanie's cloak resides next to it.

 

"Jeez, sooner or later you'll and up pushing yourself off a cliff."

 

"I just...don't want...to inconvenience...anyone...I want...to help..." Katie manages to say, her breathing heavy.

"It's ok, Katie. We can help the others if you don't feel up to it." Artemis says. A wooden hand passes her a cup of Nature Elixir.

"Here, drink this. It'll help with the healing process." Artemis says, helping Katie drink the Elixir.

"Thanks, Artemis..." Katie says, gently pushing the cup away.

 

"How can you help though, if you're wounded like that? Think of who will feel most responsible if you ended up collapsing."
