Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

"Wait what!?" Stephanie exclaims, dropping her crystal.

The blank seems to come to life, a lighter grey aura surrounding it's eyes.

Stephanie takes a few steps back, a few fireballs forming next to her.

"Thank you, thirteen, and thank you, Stephanie. It's very kind of you to give me this body." Crelucium says.

Stephanie looks panicked.

"No, no, not that. I know I'm at fault for that. I meant...well..." I trail off.

"The thing you shouldn't tell Artemis." I whisper.

 

"I don't see why a concealed identity is a problem. You're not using it for evil, as far as I'm concerned."

 

I take a step back, too.
"What? Bad idea? I should've told you what it was for before hand, shouldn't I have..."

 

"I know it's just...I feel at fault for their deaths. If Artemis finds out I was inadvertently her mother's cause of death...I don't know if she could take it. I'm just wondering if I should take responsibility for them; I feel like I should, because they were sort of for me, but I wasn't the one who killed them. It's like if someone killed someone else for you to eat at a weird restaurant. They were killed for you to eat, but does that make you responsible?" I ask.

"Uh, yeah! It's Crelucium we're talking about!" Stephanie says, panicked.

"Oh, I-I'm sorry. I think I did something wrong. Sorry for what I did, Stephanie, and Thirteen. Sorry." Crelucium apologises.

"Don't you try and kill us!" Stephanie shouts.

"Oh, no no, I don't want to kill anyone. Killing is wrong. You shouldn't kill people," Crelucium says sadly, "Sorry, I really messed up."

 

"Same reasoning as Vei; you didn't kill them by your own hand, but they died for you. Thus, you are still in part responsible."

 

The green orb just continues to surround the wisp.

 

"If it's any consolation, he doesn't exactly remember much."
I say to Stephanie.

 

"So...how do you think Artemis would react if she found out I was, in part, responsible for her mother's death?" I ask.

"Everything past a certain point is just...blackness." Crelucium explains.

"Well...as long as you don't hurt anyone, I guess you could stick around." Stephanie says, though still distrustful of Crelucium.

"Thank you, Stephanie." Crelucium says, bowing.

 

"You're a crap diversion, you know."

"I would recommend keeping that hidden until things calm down a bit."

 

"Alright, I'll try and mention it when we're not preparing for an attack," I say, "Thanks, Virei'tus. You're a great being, Xlentia is lucky to have you as a brother."

I smile at Virei'tus.

 

"We all have our purpose."
He nods at you, but seems preoccupied.

 

"Well I'm glad that that's solved for now."
I say, smiling.

 

"I think you serve yours well." I say happily.

Crelucium walks over to Artemis, before bowing to her; head on the ground.

"I just wanted to say that I'm very sorry for trying to get Thirteen to harm you, and scaring you in the process." Crelucium apologises.

"Oh, uh, you were behind that?" Artemis asks, rather confused.

"Yes, it was very wrong of me to do, and I shouldn't have tried to harm you." Crelucium says.

"Uh, ok, apology accepted?" Artemis says, thoroughly perplexed. She looks at you with a confused and desperate expression.

 

I nod in an affirmative fashion.
Just don't let him put any of his limbs in your mouth and you should be fine.
I mouth.

 

"Who is he?" Artemis mouths back.

"I think that...maybe I need to go for a walk. To clear my head, maybe get my memories back. A long walk to hopefully find myself." Crelucium says, getting up and walking away from the group.

Artemis seems even more confused.

 

I walk up to Artemis.
"Crelucium with no memories. At least, we think he is. Most things are pointing to it."
I say casually, expecting a bit of Artemis being weirded out.

 

"Well...he doesn't seem hostile. At least, not anymore." Artemis says, watching Crelucium walk away.

"I guess if he's happy, we should let sleeping dogs lie," Artemis adds, "I don't really want him shoving the remains of a blank down my throat anyway; or anything, for that matter."

 

"A lot of people do say that ignorance is bliss."
I smile.

 

"I guess that's true," Artemis says, "Just...don't try and shove anything down my throat either. You really scared me."

Crelucium seems to have walked quite far from the group now.

 

"Yeah, sorry about scaring you. When I charged at you, and when I woke up."
