Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

A dark hand opens from a portal and rips the flower from the earth, before filling it with darkness and tearing it apart.

 

"You're not helping."

 

"I'm not letting my guard down. The life of Ragnyon is too dire for me to fall prey to a trick of those after her." I say, holding Shadow Katana ready.

Artemis starts draining the wisp's life, sharing it between the party.

"Tell us your name or perish." Artemis says with a serious tone.


Katie takes a while with her next move, trying to find a way to turn the game in her favour.

 

Artemis starts to feel dizzy. The wisp glows brighter.
"You don't need to let your guard down. You need to go back to human size. And let me have Ragnyon."

You see a mate in three, if she's not careful.

 

"Hah, no and no. Nice try, but you're not getting her. Come fight us in person you wuss. You'll see what happens when you try to mess with a Shadow." I boom, slicing at the wisp.

Artemis manages to keep herself stable, and focuses on draining the wisp's life.

"Tell us who you are, and who you're working with, and I'll make your death less painful." I say, my eyes glowing menacingly.


Katie takes a few cautious moves, trying to avoid putting herself in a position where she could lose.

"What? Who? Ragnyon? Is that some kind of expensive dish?"
I scratch my head.
"I guess I could focus in on the energy of that dagger I gave 13. Hmm."

 

"Kill me? Cute. You know who I am."

And she wins; she did. Ragnyon holds her hand out feebly.
"Good game."

"Do you guys just have something against wisps? You don't even know who this guy is."
Pause.
"I guess him wanting Ragnyon is enough..."

I slowly go up to the wisp and try poking it, running back to not get hit by AJ as soon as I do.

 

Poking it does nothing.
"Just throwing it out there, it's probably easier to kill me than it is my weapon, but I suppose they can keep trying anyways."

 

"You have a living weapon?"
I ask.

 

"I can talk through it. Like I am now."
The wisp reforms into a blade, then a bow, then a scythe before going back to just being a wisp.
"Living isn't the best word for it, but I suppose it'll do if that's what you need to understand it."

 

"Just try to trace them. They're where Aj first met Ihra"

"Have any of you ever heard of a wisp made of light that is a talking living weapon? Because there's one right now with the group. The group appears to think the wisp is hostile."
(Overworld, for the wisp)
"Howdy! Who are you?" A flower echoes.

 

Entropy glares at you.
"Now I'm starting to think you're lying..."

"You don't need to know. I hear both sides of your conversation."

 

"It seems living. So I'll call it living."

 

"Works for me, I suppose. I do hope you realize the futility of trying to kill a weapon, though."

 

"Why do you think I'm not slashing at you? Or shooting you."

 

"Oh for goodness' sake. You two are the same person? Wait, how did I get here? I thought I was back with the other Draconians. Did Arnold pick my totem up? Also, are you with Aj and the others, are are you with the Hive and Xlentia?"

"Oh for goodness' sake. Are you with us or are you with us?"

 

"Who are you talking to?" Entropy asks, confused.

"That'll be determined once I figure out just who you're double-crossing."

I shrug.
"I know when I can't do anything. I've been used to it over this journey."
