Need Ideas For A Fatal Mage Build...

So yeah, I've always been intrigued by the mythic wand Fatal, but haven't found any real builds using it. I'm looking to make a proof of concept for a thunder-water (maybe a bit of air too) mage build, centered around, of course, Fatal. I will probably not be able to use this build myself (I'm too poor to buy mythics), but just want to put this idea out there. Any item suggestions?

Third Eye
Soul Signal
Electrocharged Greaves or Crystal (Idk which)
Abyyso Galoshes

Necklace: Something with mana regen, such as the Royal Stormy Amulet.

Still looking for other accessories.

Yes, I'm just looking for something a little more thunder oriented. What do you mean by underused boots?

Everyone thinks of Fatal as a worse Az, I'm trying to come up with a build to make it useful.

 

I don't know much about thunder builds, but there are a few items I can think of that might be effective (or maybe not, I've never built a Fatal Mage, or even a thunder build really).

• Breezehands - The +1 attack tier will mean you'll be wielding a super fast Fatal. This means you'll have a weapon with a damage output similar to Az, but with Meteor at your disposal, which has a much higher spell multiplier thnt bomb arrow. Fatal's thunder and spell damage should mostly cancel out the -20% spell damage on Breezehands. You have to use 55 agility for this though, so you might use it with an Air/Thunder focus.
• Passus Lux - 3/4s mana regen and some extra thunder/water damage at the cost of a little walk speed. Not much to say here really.
• Abysso Galoshes - Kind of like Passus Lux, but a bit more of a reckless choice. You have less health and no mana regen, but you get okay life steal, a few Int/Dex points, some raw spell damage, and most importantly a ton of water and thunder damage. I've got a pair with over 20% in each.

 

Breezehands simply takes too many skill points. Abyyso Galoshes is now part of my working build. I may consider using Electrocharged Greaves as the Pants.

 

A lot of dexterity boosting items - Nether's Scar perhaps? Fatal can give a huge dexterity buff, personally I want to see someone try to get 150 Dex with it.

Another idea for boots is Scorpio, I have +25% Thunder dam on mine. Also wouldn't go with electrocharge grieves if I were you, Very Fast is already pretty fast.

Never hurts to get super fast in a thunder build :3

 

well, the gambler is mainly just for elemental defense which may pose a problem with this build. You can really use any ring you can. Breezehands is not viable since you can't meet the 55 agi standard.

Edit: U also got good elemental def in water/thunder/air and could use poods for the other 2 elements if u want

 

Okay first off scrap what you have now.

With Fatal you want damage health doesn't matter to much.

So

Helmet: Now if you want to be really glass cannony, Use Cumulonimbus, Or Neuron for some mana and more hp.

Chestplate: Boreal-Patterned Aegis: More of a defensive pic, 2/4 mana 3k hp, Thunder dmg and great elemental defence

Leggings: Leictreach Makani: No hp but since we want dmg this is perfect, 36% Thunder dmg and 33% Spell and +Tier attack speed, Try to get good dex and agi buff and -1/4 mana.

Boots: Ventus tail: 39% Thunder dmg 16% spell and good dex agi buff


For accessories you want more mana regen,

Rings: 2x Concentration. 2/4 mana
Bracelet: Squid Danklet 2/4
Necklace: Royal stormy 1/4 or Royal Shocking for more dmg

In total you can have 123% Thunder damage 82% Spell damage and 6/4 mana regen
6505 hp, Super fast attack speed, And a very good dodge chance
