Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

"You do? Hmm... You may be more helpful than we thought. If Mistress ever recovers, I'm sure she'd be appreciative. Now, that leaves the question;

Where?"

"Wh-what? What other draconians?! I can't go anywhere fast!!"
She also enters panic mode. Ihra just looks at you two, confused.

 

"She's in the overworld." I say sounding awfully smug.
--Overworld--
"They're from the hive! They're after you! We have to get you out of here, fast! Ihra, do you know any teleportation spells or something?!" I sound increasingly panicked.

 

"Overworld? That could be any world... Many creatures call their home the 'Overworld.' The implications are quite infuriating."

"What?! I thought they assumed I was dead!"
"I know a mass teleportation spell, but it leaves a trace."

 

"Where we came from. It was where The Mistress was pushed into the void from. If you can somehow open up a portal to where Arnold and I came from, we might be able to catch them off guard. We have to hurry though. I am more than sure that they are preparing to leave their current area. They are still where they 'fought' The Mistress."

"Does this mass teleportation spell cause any implications other than leaving a trace?" I say, sounding slightly calmer. "We have to minimize ways that they can find us."

 

"Good... I guess that may be our cue."
He turns down the hallway.
"Prepare to siege the fools who brought down Xlentia!"

"The trace is a direct path from the start point to the end point. The trace is all they need."

 

"When you get to our overworld, you should meet my current body. Unfortunately, I am stuck as a flower."
----
"This will have to do. No need to teleport me. When they come, I can try to throw them off. Quickly now, we don't have much time. Teleport the group to Brisingr if you can. Make sure Ragnyon is with you." I say, sounding worried. "I can trace the group. I've done it before. Quickly now."

 

"Well, we're off soon, I guess. Let's go."

 

"Alright. Farewell Thirteen. I shall meet you and the group at wherever Ihra teleports you off to."

 

"Excellent... Once we're ready, we will be there."
The draconian vanishes with the flick of his wing.
You see several dozen dragons the size of Rineth walking towards where Xlentia lies.

"Thanks for the warning. I guess we're going..."
With a wide aura, you find yourself where Aj first met Ihra.
Ragnyon looks confused and tired.

 

I watch intently.

"Alright. I'll be back soon." I descend into the ground.

 

All but one of them revert. They have a variety of armor and weapons, but all are clearly dangerous.
They situate themselves on the wings of the one still in dragon form.
Two other dragons walk into view with similar squadrons on their wings.

"The project was successful, eh? This should suffice. Hate to expend our numbers getting back a prophet alive when we could just kill her."

The draconian from earlier is now almost twice as tall and wields two black orbs along with a broadsword.
"What about you, recruit? Have you seen their numbers? Should this suffice to bring back Ragnyon?"

 

"If you're talking to me, then I have seen their numbers. In fact, I have infiltrated them. I have fooled them into teleporting off somewhere, but there is one fatal flaw. Their mass teleport spell leaves a trail, from start to beginning. Ragnyon is currently with Ihra, The shadow and his friends, as well as some other people. The shadow and his friends are of most likely of greatest concern, as well as Ihra, though I believe if you strike fast, they won't know what hit them. Please though, try not to underestimate them. Especially the shadow and his friends." I say.

 

"Ihra, you say? We may be able to kill two brats with one strike."
He smiles at you.
"You're on track for a fast promotion." He grins.

Looking down the halls, he shouts, "REDOUBLE THE NUMBERS!"

...And the force in front of you doubles after a minute.

"Better?"

 

"Most likely. Opposition isn't much. If memory serves, maybe just the weird mess of metal and guts will attempt to defend Ihra and Ragnyon. However...there is still an important factor to put into play. Ihra has...matured. I'm not sure if this means she is more capable or not, but again, the posibilities are out there. For the time being, I believe this is enough."

 

"That's odd... Not enough time has passed, I'm sure of it... As for Ragnyon, let's see just how much of a liar she was. I know she's more capable than what she pretends. Not only does she have the prophet's blood, but she's a hybrid to boot. Even more motivation to exterminate her."

He eyes the force standing before you two.
"Shame that robot can't be as useful as you. I suppose the library did kill many years for me... Guess I shouldn't blame him."

 

"Unfortunately, it is true. Ihra's guardian, the one named Rineth somehow put her to sleep for five thousand years in some kind of crystal. When she woke up, she stated that she had read two of her mother's eight tomes."

 

"Eight? She only had seven. Still, that makes everything vastly more difficult. It only takes one to replicate Apocalypse. Two allow it to be cast without consuming a charge, plus she's likely to have mastery over the tome's respective elemental magic."

 

"I see...well, you shall meet my current body when you reach my world. It's less threatening than you'd expect."

 

"You said it was a flower. Kind of... odd."

 

"Exactly. In our world, flowers are not the most threatening things. Though, my first and original body was not a flower. Long story short, I was forced to move my soul to a flower for the time being."
