Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

Stephanie seems to have calmed down quite a bit.

"I hope you have a plan concerning the vision, Aj," Artemis says, walking over to Ragnyon and I, "Stephanie doesn't want to see Katie dead. I hate bending the wills of friends, but it was the only way to calm her."

"Maybe we could just send her home?" I suggest, "That way she's out of danger."

"Ihra specifically wanted to see Katie, I'm sure there's a way around this problem that doesn't involve removing her from the picture." Artemis says.

I turn to Ragnyon, "How many of your visions have been true, so far?" I ask.

 

"All of them thus far."

 

"Maybe it's time we break that record." Artemis says, looking at me.

"There's only one good way I see around this, and I don't want to. Why don't you just bring her back from the dead? I know you've done that before." I say, somewhat desperate.

"Maybe it wasn't Katie..." Stephanie says hopefully, "Maybe it was a friend we meet out here, or someone back home, or maybe even the Leoseal. How do we know Katie wasn't there? I mean, Artemis wasn't there, and you care for Katie too!"

"We have been basing this off a theory, there's no real evidence to say if it was or wasn't Katie. Heck, maybe it was Nathan or Gabriel. We'd mourn their deaths." I say, smiling at Stephanie.

"Yeah! The tombstone didn't have any markings...maybe it was just us roleplaying! I mean, we could be roleplaying over the death of a member of our gang with a fake tombstone!" Stephanie says hastily, seeming to cheer up quite a lot.

 

"...What? That made no sense."

 

"We were just roleplaying! It was fake, made up!" Stephanie says, sounding almost insane with her assurance, "The tombstone didn't have any markings, so it could be anyone, or noone!"

 

"It said...Me. My name."

 

Stephanie seems relieved and shocked at the same time.

"Oh...no..." I say sadly, hugging Ragnyon "No...".

"That's so sad..." Artemis says, depressed.

 

"I guess I've seen my future..." She says solemnly.

"Well, I was supposed to be dead years ago... I guess I'll take what I can get."

 

"Who knows how far your death is anyway. We'll do our best to protect you, don't you worry." I say happily, letting go of Ragnyon.

"We're here for you." Artemis says, smiling.

Stephanie just smiles.

Katie's pool seems to bubble slightly.

 

"Thanks. Kindness still seems foreign... I'll do what I can to help."

 

"It's horrible you don't know kindness; you've truly come from a corrupt place." Artemis says, saddened.

I decide to go and investigate Katie's pool, which seems to be bubbling more by the second.

 

"I make do. What's with the pool of water?"

 

"It's where Katie's sleeping, or was, it seems." Stephanie says, looking over to Katie's pool.

The pools seems to be splashing some water around; I step out of the way.

 

"Who?"
Ragnyon walks towards the pool.

 

"Katie, she's a water guardian." Artemis says.

The pool seems to be bubbling quite a bit; making it impossible to see what resides in it's depths.

 

Ragnyon feebly raises her free hand, and the water is clear despite the bubbles.
She looks down at it, trying to see what's going on.

 

Katie resides at the bottom of the pool; her fish tail present. She seems to be half awake, stretching and putting on her clothing.

 

Ragnyon taps the surface of the water with her tail.
Ragnyon's looking away, making it look like her tail is just hanging down in the pool.

 

Katie looks up oddly, before swimming up through the pool towards the surface.

I look into the pool; unable to see into it's depths.

"Wonder what she's doing..." I say.

 

"Surfacing momentarily."
