Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

"Stick by me and try not to look like you're going to kill someone and I'm sure you'll be fine." I say.

Artemis seems to be waking up.

 

"Lack of foresight from a prophet... Glad I haven't made my own decisions." She mutters.
"You're right. Thanks." She tries to smile, but winces.

"Is that girl on the dragon the Artemis you speak of?" She asks whilst nodding to acknowledge you.

 

"Yes, that's Artemis." I say, stepping a little closer to Ragnyon.

Artemis slowly gets up, yawning; her fangs clearly visible. She rubs her eyes and looks around her immediate area, petting Sgavrinn when she notices him.

 

Ragnyon seems to reel back a bit when she sees her fangs.

Sgavrinn hums softly.
"Good morning, Artemis!" He says happily, yawning as well.

 

"Morning, Sgavrinn." Artemis replies sleepily.

Artemis looks over to me, noticing Ragnyon. She gets up and walks over; giving a fanged smile.

"Hey, I don't believe we've met. I'm Artemis, nice to meet you." Artemis says to Ragnyon happily, offering a handshake.

 

She accepts, though her claw is rather weakly held.
"Ragnyon. Nice to meet you too." She smiles nervously.
"I'm... not great with greetings."
She glances at you, hoping for you to bail her out of this.

 

"Artemis, I'm hoping you could help Ragnyon. She's been hurt as an effect of being chained up tightly, and she's not the strongest right now." I say.

"Oh my, why, yes, of course I could." Artemis says, observing the marks left by the chains on Ragnyon's wrists.

Vines begin to wrap themselves around Ragnyon's ankles and wrists, and they begin to heal Ragnyon. A vine loosely wraps around Ragnyon's neck, as to not suffocate her.

"You should start feeling better soon." Artemis says, smiling.

 

Ragnyon seems nervous about the vines, but utters a "Thank you" anyways.

...

After a while, there doesn't seem to be any change at all, but Ragnyon seems to be a bit calmer.

 

"You seem to be badly hurt, your wounds are taking a lot longer to heal than I first thought." Artemis says, concerned.

A few more vines wrap around, and Artemis' eyes glow green as she increases the potency of the healing.

"Are you hungry at all? I could grow you some fruit if you wanted." Artemis asks.

 

"A little more food sounds nice... If you wouldn't mind, please."

Increasing the potency of the healing doesn't seem to do anything. Still, the chain indentations are unaffected.

 

A mango grows beside Artemis, before vine hands pick it and start chopping it up; removing the skin and creating bite-size chunks. A pair of vine hands holds them up next to Ragnyon; numerous bite-size mango chunks held within. A wooden cup of nature elixir is held in another vine hand beside them.

"It's strange; my healing doesn't seem to be affecting your wounds at all." Artemis says, confused.

Artemis places a hand on Ragnyon's chest, and her eyes seem to glow a little brighter as she checks for a presence of life force.

 

There's a life force, and it seems to be getting a bit stronger.
"That's odd. Maybe my wounds are just too old?"

 

"Well, you're certainly not dead. Ages of wounds shouldn't be a factor in healing effectiveness either, so I can't understand why you aren't healing." Artemis says, confused.

"Didn't you say the chains were magic or something?" I ask, concerned.

 

"Yes, they had a null field imbued in them. Magic wouldn't affect them at all. Do you think that could still be affecting them...?"

 

"Maybe; if they were on for long enough, some of the null magic might have started to seep into your wounds. It would explain why my healing isn't working. Maybe Stephanie could see to it; she tends to be good with these types of magic." Artemis says, glancing to me.

I walk over to Stephanie and shake her gently, "Hey, Stephanie, it's time to wake up." I say quietly.

"Uuurghhh, five more minutes..." Stephanie says sleepily, trying to push me away.

 

"I don't know how long they were on. By logic of the age of the Chosen One, it was at least thirty thousand years."

Ragnyon eyes Stephanie curiously.

 

"Th-Thirty thousand years!?" Artemis says in shock, "The null magic has definitely set in, then."

"Stephanie there's someone who wants to meet you, and needs your help." I say.

"Uuuuuughhhh, fine." Stephanie says, getting up. She summons a green phial and uncorks it, drinking the contents of it.

"You owe me for this." Stephanie says, finishing drinking her potion.

 

"Wh...what?"
Ragnyon thinks she's saying that to her.
"I... uh..."
She's confused and nervous. Nothing out of the norm thus far.

 

"Can the debt be payed off by roleplaying?" I ask, grinning.

"You bloody wish." Stephanie says, getting to her feet and walking over to Ragnyon.

"So, uh, what's the problem?" Stephanie asks Artemis.

"I believe some null magic has set in to Ragnyon," Artemis says, gesturing to Ragnyon, "I wanted to see if you could remove it."

Stephanie turns to Ragnyon, "Could I have your hands...or claws, please?" Stephanie says, noticing the chain's markings, and holding out her hands.

 

Ragnyon holds onto her staff to keep standing, but holds out her other claw.
