Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

"Heh... Well, I suppose this is why I was never let out of my chamber." She says, trying to get back to her feet.
"Just all of a sudden, I was able to feel everything again, and now I can't stand worth anything." She mutters, clearly bitter.

 

I stick my right hand out, in a fashion to help her up.
After a second or two, I stick my hand in front of my eyes, fingers parted so I can still see.
I continue smiling.

 

She takes it, though it doesn't seem to help her much. Her wrists are indented too, as is her neck.

Her neck...
That explains why her voice is a bit raspy.

"Thanks... Ugh, I should be dead at this rate."

 

"Well, it's good that you're not, isn't it?"

"Heh... I suppose."
She glances at her wings and tail. None were chained.
"Maybe I'll be able to fly. I hope, I don't want to be a burden anymore..."

 

I start hovering a few inches off the ground, showing off.
"Being a burden for a little while isn't too bad. We've all had our moments."

 

"Cooped up in a room, chained, stabbed, then freed years later, weak and vulnerable in a new world... Glad I at least met kindhearted people."

 

I stop hovering.
"Or people-like things."

 

"That'll work. Couldn't think of a better word at that moment."

 

"He sounds like a great man...being. I do hope he's alright, for your sake." I say happily.


Watching Ragnyon get up, I say "Hey, I could help you stand on your feet a little better. It might be a little weird for you at first, though."

 

"I guess...? What did you have in mind?"

 

"I could 'Empower' you, essentially syncing our bodies and minds to give you the strength to stand. I might be able to alleviate the pain caused by those chains too." I say happily, getting up.

 

"I... uh... I think braces will do fine... I mean... Thanks, but I'd rather not jump to extremes right away."

 

"Alright; but if you get too badly wounded, I might have to in order to prevent your death," I say, smiling, "If you're the last prophet, I don't think we can afford to lose you."

I look towards the moon; enjoying the night.

 

"If a world can afford to throw me aside, I don't doubt you can go on without me, if it really came to it. I'm grateful for the offer, but..."
She sighs.
"Thank you, I guess."

The moon's starting to fall. Looks like it's about due time to get moving again.

"All life is important. From the smallest insect to the largest god; no life is worthless." I say, in a slightly more serious tone.

I glance in the opposite direction, towards the sunrise.

"Well, it looks like morning approaches. We can finally see to your aches from those chains." I say happily, looking toward Artemis.

 

"It'll be an odd sight if they're just waking up. I don't know if I should be right here when they do..."

 

"Where else would you be?"
I question.

 

"I dunno... Hiding?"

 

"Then how would you introduce yourself? It just seems weirder to me if you were to be intentionally out of sight, then when you wanted to introduce yourself, you just show up. The majority of us aren't hostile on sight, and they wouldn't mind if we were beside you. Probably."
