Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

"We do," I say, opening an eye, "Artemis is psychically gifted, for one. She sometimes has visions of the future when she sleeps. Others focus more heavily of this and can tell the various futures based around what you'll do."

"I arrived here through a cut in space and time; I don't know why or how. I brought Artemis here with the help of Rineth, and, when I had the strength to return to the Realm of Shadows, I found Abigail; who hunted me down here for taking something of hers. Katie was brought to help Abigail in a fight, and Stephanie because Ihra wanted to meet her." I explain.

 

"I can't wait to meet this Artemis, then."
She seems interested, but still nervous and stressed.

 

I glance over to Artemis. She remains peacefully asleep and unaware.

"I'm sure you'll like her." I say.

I pat the ground next to me, "Why don't you meditate with me? It'll take your mind off of things. Stress is killer, you know." I say, before closing my eyes again.

 

"Sure."
She sits next to you. She gasps just a minute in.
"Sorry... Just saw something."
It recirs a couple minutes later.
"Again."

 

I'm intrigued now.
It seems that I've just been creepily staring this whole time.

 

"Sir, are you okay...?"
She notices your hollow stare.

 

I shift around to the front of Ragnyon, placing a hand gently on her head, "Clear your mind," My voice seems to echo as I stare Ragnyon in the eyes, my own glowing, "Free yourself of your troubles."

 

You see visions that are bloodbaths called Rites.
The only free moments she's had thus far scarred her both physically and mentally.

"I... I can't..."

 

I don't answer, yet.
I just let AJ do his thing.
I relax a bit, and stop always looking directly at Ragnyon.

 

My eyes seem to glow bright.

Ragnyon sees a vision of herself fighting with Artemis, Stephanie, Katie, Abigail and I, taking down large enemies with ease. She sees a vision of her crystal orb, telling multiple futures to happy people. She sees a vision of herself happy, running carefree in a bright field.

I take my hand away from Ragnyon's head, the visions ending.

"Ugh, I should really let Artemis do the mind stuff..." I say to myself, rubbing my head.

 

Ragnyon sighs, saddened.
"Those remind me of... Sivius... I wonder if he's still alive."

 

"Sivius?" I ask, curious.

 

"The Fragment of Redemption. He was presumed dead, but it turns out they made contact with him in another world. He couldn't come home, though. The closest he got was near The Void; enough to meet with Xlentia and form a telepathic link, albeit neither could see each other. Rumor from her report says he had his own happy ending, but hell came before it. Several worlds of fighting to survive, making friends, watching them die... he said he was happy, though. Safe, able to sustain himself and protect himself. I'm just curious if he's still okay now..."

 

I sprout from the ground, intruding the conversation. "I don't mean to interrupt, but I dont think a staff and a sharp tail will do for a good defense."

 

"I need to escape, not kill. You don't want to be cut by my tail, it ignores physical armor."

 

"But does it ignore physical armor infused with magic? By process of guessing, I'll assume that whoever is chasing you will have magic-infused items."

 

"Then it gets better."
She smirks.
"I'm not cut out for combat, but my tail ignores physical armor. Add magic, and the wearer is crushed."

She looks at the tip of her tail.
"Of course, I'd hate for it to come to that. I'd probably already be dead by then."

 

"Fair enough, though what happens, say, if someone were to somehow stop you from using your tail. How they would do that beats me."

 

"I'd probably be dead at that point anyways. My only hope would for there to be water touching me."

 

"Hypothetical. Say the group got separated and you were teleported to a desert. What would happen?"
